It is said that "Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the seeker of Self Realisation who is attracted to spirituality by instinct, for your instinct is your true GOD.
Illustrating with beautiful analogies he explains the spontaneous attraction of true devotee to GOD, which doesn't have to be taught or crafted, but it comes instinctively from within. He says,
Just like ants are attracted to jaggery by instinct, the true devotee experiences a strange but powerful pull from within to the temple.
Just like a man in need finds the donor, a true devotee finds his way to GOD.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, water doesn't say "drink me" or food doesn't say "eat me", yet One who is thirsty or hungry finds his way to seek them. Similarly a true devotee who wants to drink the nectar of devotion, intuitively absorbs himself in the Name Worship of GOD.
In another analogy he says, just like a diseased person seeks a doctor, so is the true devotee, who is aware of the illness of unending cycle of deaths and rebirths, seeks GOD's mercy to rescue him from the deathly grip of repeated sufferings.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, One who is aware of the preciousness of this rare human birth doesn't have to be told of what is needed to be done to make most of this unique opportunity. He chooses to walk on the path of Self Realisation instinctively and is least influenced by frivolous material pursuits "
