It is said that "Opportunity is rare, and a Wise man will never let it go by him. "
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about not wasting this rarest of rare human birth on frivolous material pursuits, for this is the only chance to transcend beyond the realm of repeated sufferings. He implores that to make most of this unique opportunity, One must consciously sow the seeds of compassion,
He says, a man of truth and wisdom is never disturbed in any situations, for he is fully aware of the fact that the appearance of happiness or distress is fleeting and it is all the matter of perception. He says, since the senses are responsible for the instability of mind and hence delusion, they need to be consciously disengaged from the sense objects to which they are pulled habitually, so that then only the mind can zero in on the Inner Self. Freeing Oneself from the bondage of senses and following the dictates of the inner soul is the perfect way  to attain love of GOD.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, in the body of an awakened soul, the senses become the instruments of truth and reflect the radiance of GOD. The senses when rightly used help us to discern the truth while when wrongly used spread darkness and delusion and create confusion. "
