" For man, mind absorbed in sense objects is the cause of bondage, and mind detached from sense objects is the cause of Liberation. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about our forgetfulness of our relation with GOD due to being overtly attracted to material sense gratification since time immemorial. He says, man become what he thinks. Unfortunately One who is attached to sense pleasure never takes time to contemplate the nature of his existence. Man who spends the valuable time in this rare human birth to perfect his animal propensities is no more than an intellectual beast.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like a poison mixed in well cooked food makes it uneatable so is the lure of sense gratification which takes One far away from the true purpose of this precious human birth, the Self Realisation."
