"There isn't enough room in your mind for both worry and faith. You must decide which one will live there."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, worry is born of ego and ego implies unawareness. Awareness of our True Self cannot coexist with ego or "I am the body" idea.
Illustrating with beautiful analogies he says, just like cuds chewed by cattle hardly have much juice left in them, most of our time is wasted in catering to the needs of survival and in the end there is hardly any time left to understand that this rare human birth is getting wasted on frivolous pursuits.
In another analogy Sant Tukaram Maharaj says,
To say that Self Realisation coexists with the powerful notion of "I -ness" is as absurd as pretending to sleep peacefully on a bed crawling with bed bugs.
In another analogy he says, just like a sound advice makes no sense to the drunkard, it is futile to even think of Self Realisation while being possessed by dominant "I am the body" idea.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the journey of Self Realisation is an arduous path to consciously undermine the thoughts like "I am" and " This is mine" so that slowly but steadily One moves towards the real purpose of this rare human birth, the Liberation."
