"Every animal has its own intelligence. However of all the innumerable species, human beings possess the Discriminating Intelligence which gives them power to decide what is good for them and what is not. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about this rare human birth where One gets a unique opportunity to look within and hence discover the Nature of his True Self. He says, natural tendency of mind is to seek sense gratification. But we humans, with our sense of discrimination, can discipline our mind to turn inward, for within indwells GOD. If One knows how to fulfill his rare human birth, then Liberation is at his doorstep, but if he does not, then the life becomes a vehicle for endless wandering. The spell of Maya, the Mistress of Illusion makes "I am the body" idea very real thus making One intoxicated to worldly attachments of relations and possessions. The gruelling cycle of repeated sufferings will continue relentlessly until One destroys the cause consciously, so that the effect too will come to an end and consequently another birth will cease to occur.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Liberation does not come free, One must be consciously bold to liberate himself, for True Freedom is Self Liberation. He says, to live consciously is the rarest thing in the world. Unfortunately most people just exist, that is all."
