"It is said that "Life is an echo. What you send out, comes back. What you sow, so shall you reap."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, One is naturally inclined to do things according to his Sanchit Karma, the storehouse of accumulated deeds in all his past lives. It is inevitable and it cannot be changed. And hence he cautions us to be very alert when we seek something from GOD. He says, everything depends on what we ask for, for any repentance later becomes useless. Just like a brinjal tree will never bear bananas, we, by our thoughts and actions, become our destiny.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, we make choices by our own free will and not by the will of GOD, but by doing so, we lose the chance to put the blame of our wrong choice on GOD. He says, in this fleeting human existence, we have been rewarded with a sense of discrimination which makes us unique among all other innumerable species. All depends upon how cleverly we make use of this unique trait, to discriminate between what is good for us and what is bad for us, on our journey to Self Realisation. He reiterates by saying that, only we can be our best friend or our worst enemy."
