"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the fountainhead of perpetual happiness manifests within the One who sings of Hari Naam day and night.
He says, sleeping or awake, sitting or standing, the One who remains ever at his post within is the blessed most.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, doubt not what the Vedic Scriptures are propounding since time immemorial, for all creation and all modes of worship remain incomplete without the saving Grace of Hari Naam."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, we are free to choose, but we are not free from the consequence of our choice, for Godliness comes to the One who puts GOD first while the downfall is inevitable for those who rely more on the world.
In other words, when we make people the basis of our confidence, we experience rejection and disappointment again and again. But when GOD becomes the ultimate source of our confidence, we are never let down.
He says, One moves higher or cast into the depths depending upon the fruits of good or evil which he brings with him from his past lives.
He says, though the faith will grow not by chance, but by choice, the True Longing for GOD speaks for itself and needs no counsel."

He says, the happiness is like a mirage in the desert, which the thirsty dreams to be water and strives after it, until when he comes near and finds it to be no more than an illusion, for our thoughts create our sufferings.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, when we wake up to the Truth, there is nothing to fight against."

It had five lack houses made of stone, seven lack houses made of brick, a crore houses made of bronze, copper and seven crore houses made of pure gold. However none of these worldly riches he could take with him when he died.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, man comes in the world empty handed and dies empty handed, all the possessions is just an illusion, That Which Is Not."

Illustrating this with beautiful analogies he says, just like one grain of salt less makes no difference to the swell of ocean, the man is but a mote of dust floating  in the infinitude of the immense universe.
He says, just like the worldly riches are trifling to the vast riches of Lord Kuber or a precipus stone is inconsequential to the One who has in his possession countless of them, GOD without man is still GOD, but Man without GOD is NOTHING."

He says, behind all the multiplicity of this manifold universe, the homogeneous Oneness persists in all its splendour. And therefore he says, One pointed devotion to GOD is a journey from suffering to joy, from two-ness to the Eternal Oneness or a journey from seeing the world of duality all around to seeing Godliness everywhere."

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, there is no place in the universe devoid of GOD. One sees countless opportunities to worship Him, feeling His presence everywhere and in all beings, who sees this universe as a temple of GOD."

He says, devotion without it's genuine desire is like an embellished corpse or as futile as wedding of dolls, no matter how extravagantly it is carried out or eating sweet but without the need to balance it for the salty food eaten earler.
He says, just like a pretence not accompanied by attributes remains a facade, One needs to be virtuous from within to be called One.
O'GOD, says Sant Tukaram Maharaj, save me from the irony of doing the Name Worship of GOD, yet devoid of its experience."

He says, the ocean of worldly appearance stands crossed when One remains absorbed in the Name Worship of GOD. In other words only GOD Name Vitthal can take us across the ocean of repeated sufferings to the "Other Shore" of Everlasting  Supreme Bliss.
He says, all animals have intelligence but the sense of discrimination makes man different. And therefore he says, waste not the moments of this rare human birth, for only here One can consciously pursue the Name Worship of GOD for his journey of GOD Realisation
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the longing for devotion in the present birth goes back countless lifetimes and therefore do the Name Worship of GOD as much as possible, for the Momentum builds Success."

He says, beware of the loved ones and the material wealth, for all these attachments are transient and loss is inevitable.
About the oddity of deserting parents for GOD Narayan, Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the history is replete with examples. The Great Devotee Pralhad  endured the torture meted out by his tyrant father but ardently pursued his quest for GOD Narayan.
Bibhishana, the younger brother of King Ravana, who spent all his time meditating on the Name of GOD, deserted Ravana and joined hands with Supreme GOD Shri Ram to free Sita from the bondage.
Bharata, the younger brother of Supreme GOD Shri Ram having condemned his mother Kaikeyi for sowing the seeds of discord, placed His footwear on the Royal Seat of Ayodhya, thus laying clear the fact that Supreme GOD Shri Ram was the de facto ruler of Ayodhya.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, all the religions unfold the path to GOD but the greatest is His Feet becoming fully manifest within or in other words doing the Name Worship of GOD as much as possible, the panacea of all the sufferings."

He says, a traveller finds no place to rest and recoup in a village devoid of temple where live the Godless.

He says, good or bad, right or wrong are but the offsprings of this ignorance, the root cause of all sufferings, for there is nothing either good or bad but our duality oriented thinking makes it so.

And therefore more than the elaborate ritualistic offerings of any kind, even a morsel of food, but offered with a loving devotion by a devotee, is more precious to GOD Krishna, who adores it most.
He says, GOD fools all those who forbid the offering of partially eaten food to Him and eats the half eaten food of His devotee.

He says, it is like the Name Worship of GOD happening in tandem with Wisdom and Renunciation.
Illustrating with beautiful analogy Sant  Tukaram Maharaj says, if Heartful Devotion is a Diamond then equally precious is it's setting of the Wisdom and Renunciation, for together their brilliance is unparalleled."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the glory of the Holy Ram Nam. He says,
In the beginning was the Ram Nam and it was with God and it was God. It was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him is the life and life is the light of man and the light of Wisdom shines in the darkness of ignorance so that the illusion of "I am the body " crumbles forever.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, he in whom the Holy Ram Nam becomes personified is the Self Realised Soul for whom it can be said that the Holy Ram Nam was made flesh and dwelt among us. On the other hand, One who has not been able during his lifetime to establish love for the Divine Name, at the time of death quits the body like a defeated gambler who leaves gambling den with empty hands.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the Holy Ram Nam assures salvation to all, whether good or bad, learned or unlettered. As sun and fire gives warmth and light to all, so is the Holy Ram Nam, which cannot fail to produce its effect regardless of the condition in which it is recited."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the tossing and turning of his restless mind, just like popping of hot jowar seeds, caught in the tussle  between what he wants to be and what he actually is.
He says, just like a beggar who spent his life sitting on a pot of gold under him the whole time, yet was unaware of it, he has become the One, on his countless journeys from womb to tomb, in quest of the True Happiness, unaware that it is within him.
He says, bound to others by Karmic Debt, the vicious Karmic Cycle seems to be unending.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the journey through the countless species gives neither contentment not  solace, for it is just like a man's wanderings from place to place, who knows not how long he will stay at a particular place.
He says, just like man knows not how to put a stop to his wanderings, he aspires GOD Realisation so that his repeated sufferings will cease forever."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the countless who have gone astray in their chase of frivolous material pursuits and who have forgotten the very purpose of their rare human birth, the GOD Realisation.
He says, from the moment One is born, the countdown to death has begun. Time is free, but it is priceless. One cannot own it, but he can surely use it just like by making this rare human birth worthwhile by doing the Name Worship of GOD incessantly.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, it is not that we are given short life but we make it short by being wasteful of it. And in the end when this realisation dawns, it's too late, for no one, not even the mightiest is spared from the clutches of death."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, wake up from the slumber of ignorance and do the Name Worship of GOD as much as possible, for the endless cycle of deaths and rebirths due to man's Karmic Debt is just like round and round goes a blindfolded bull, driving an oil mill. The Bull aches with weariness carrying the burden of yoke and is harshly poked when slowed down.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, One needs to spend nothing to utter GOD Name Vitthal, yet it is so difficult for the One who knows not what his rare human birth is for."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, O'GOD, do something so that all the fellow beings will appear as GOD Narayan to me.
He says, save me from being looted by Lust, Anger, Envy, Reproach and the Sense of Two-ness and let me find You amidst all thoughts and actions, in every moment and everywhere, even in the midst of all unfavourable and trying circumstances.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like One cannot eat the cake and have it, he aspires to be free from the desire of senses to seek GOD Realisation and dwell at His Feet with wholehearted devotion.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, O' GOD, only You can make my wishes come true, for even a broken tree can bear fruit with Your Grace."
