नारायण जे विसरले संवसारी I
तयांसी अघोरी वास सत्य II
सत्य मानूनियां संतांच्या वचना I
जा रे नारायणा शरण तुम्ही II
तुम्ही नका मानूं कोणाचा विश्वास I
पुत्र पत्नी आस धन वित्त II
धन वित्त लोभ माया मोहपाश I
मांडियेलें फांसे यमदूती II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, there is no end to the repeated sufferings for the One who forgets the true purpose of this rare human birth, the GOD Realisation. And therefore submit to GOD Narayan he says and become His right in earnest.
He says, do not depend much on anyone except GOD Narayan, for even your own shadow betrays you in the darkness.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, craving the material wealth and attachment to the worldly relations are but the dice rolled in the gamble of life. The true test of mettle is to play it but not to get tricked by it."
