सोनियाचे ताट क्षिरीने भरले I
भक्षावया दिले श्वानालागी II
मुक्ताफळहार खरासी घातला I
कस्तुरी सुकराला चोजविली II
वेदपारायण बधिरा सांगे ज्ञान I
तयासी ते खुण काय जाणे II
तुका म्हणे ज्याचे तोचि एक जाणे I
भक्तीचे महिमान साधू जाणे II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, One must be aware of what he is doing just like a seeker on his self quest knows the importance of devotion. However not to do so is just like feeding milk to a dog in a gold plate or adorning a donkey with necklace of pearls or smearing musk on the swine or words of Wisdom of Vedic Scriptures falling on deaf ears."
