"In this compositiin Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like a trial by fire brings out the purity in Gold, One must make a prudent choice of the means to test someone, for once revealed the Truth needs no trumpets.
He says, the Truth does't remain hidden for long just like belching betrays a belly full even if he pretends to have not eaten anyrhing.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, reproach or praise are like the useless weed seeds in the garden which continue to produce their kind. In other words as man thinks, so he is and as he continues to think, so he remains."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, there is nothing "up there", which is not within, for GOD runs in and through all and everywhere.
He says, the faith that "only He is" has ceased the longing for "what appears" but "is not", thus transcending the barrier of ignorance and the notion of differences.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, all vanish and return to the ocean of Non Dual Self as the illusion is overcome."

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, GOD Vitthal is my mother and but for her nothing matters just like for a child what mother says is the  paramount."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about Destiny and Law of Action. He condemns the path of least resistance chosen by those who say that everything happens according to their destiny and if they are destined to attain GOD Realisation in this birth  then it will happen in any case, without they exerting themselves.
He says, though all the events that are going to happen have already been decided in the past birth, it doesn't mean that One should hold a poisonous snake in hand and claim that it is his destiny.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the Destiny sets a stage for us. But how we are going to perform on it is entirely in our hands. The Great Sages and Seers have propounded since time immemorial that destiny has bestowed us this rare human birth. It is entirely in our hands how we wish to shape our future destiny. We can either do a conscious effort to attain inner transformation or pass the buck to destiny and do everything else, but the Self Quest."

He says, the moment of what is called "Today" is not permanent and therefore waste it not to fritter away in the state of laziness, but to seek Self Realisation, the crowning fruition of this rare human birth."

"The theme of this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj is the inextricable relationship between the devotee and GOD and about how GOD comes to the rescue of his devotee who seeks Him with unassailable and unflinching faith.
Illustrating with the Jambul Episode in Mahabharata, Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, during the thirteenth year of the exile of the Pandavas, Draupadi saw a tree laden with ripe Jambul fruit. She plucked One to have it. No sooner had she done this, GOD Krishna appeared and stopped her from eating it. The ripe fruit was supposed to be the fruit with which a Sage Amitra was supposed to break his twelve year fast. Not finding the fruit at its place, his wrath may fall on Pandavas. For it not to happen, GOD Krishna took the Pandavas to the tree, placed the plucked fruit under the tree and told each one of them to reveal all their secrets without hiding anything.
After each of the Pandavas revealed their secrets, the fruit moved up a little every time and remained in the air.  At last Draupadi said "I have five husbands like five senses and I have caused agony to them all. After she said this, the fruit didn't move up further. However when GOD Krishna said she is still hiding something, then with great trepidation she said, I love each one of Pandavas but I love Karna too and I regret not marrying him on account of his cast. As soon as Draupadi confessed this, the fruit went back to the branch of the tree from which it was plucked and all was well as before.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, GOD Narayan never forsakes the One who seeks Him with One Pointed Devotion just like a mother cow longs for her newborn calf."

And therefore he says, waste not a moment of this rare human birth without the Name Worship of GOD or fall at the Feet of the Spiritually Wise right in earnest, for the opportunity does not waste time with those who are unprepared.
Elucidating the beautiful relation between GOD and the Spiritually Wise who is absorbed in His Name Worship, Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, nothing grows brighter than the heart awakened to the light of love that lives within it."

He carried out his duties as ruler, yet maintained the equanimity in the midst of all.
He says, unhindered by the sufferings of the body, either by pangs of hunger or by seeking refuge in the forest, were those who acknowledged that among the countless species, the Name Worship of GOD happens only in this rare human birth."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says,  we are all but the Supreme Consciousness, here, there and everywhere. Near or far are but the illusions created by "Me" and "Mine".
Illustrating will beautiful analogy he says, GOD Vishnu is called "Shunya" or "Zero", for merging into Him is the crowning fruition of all endeavors in this rare human birth.
He says, attaching One before Zero becomes Ten. In other words the individuality is created by the sense of "Me" and "Mine". Now Remove One before Zero and only Zero remains.  In other words get rid of the false ego sense and what remains is the  Supreme Oneness, which was, is and will be forever.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, learn to unburden the sense of "Bodily Me or That which seems but not", for you were always the Subtler than the Subtle, Smaller than the Smallest and also the Most Vast, the Homogeneous Oneness."

He says, we are but the Deputies serving the Feudal Lord. Here Deputy corresponds to the slave of senses, the One who wastes his rare human birth chasing the frivolous material pursuits and who has sharp memory of everything except the Name of GOD while Feudal Lord corresponds to the worldliness or believing in That Which Is Not.
The Messenger of GOD of Death says, just like for the deputy, serving his master is everything, for us, the mortals, the excuses for not finding time to do the Name Worship of GOD can be countless. But forget not, he says, for time is slipping away fast. Wake up and realise the importance of this rare human birth, for nothing is worse than missing an opportunity that saves One from being born again and again."

"This composition of Sant Tukaram Maharaj is the message of a Self Realised Soul to mankind, an urgent call to make most of this rare human birth, just like a minion of a Landlord warns the people working his fields regarding payment of what they owe to the master.
The minion says, my lord will be forced to subject you to the punishment if you do not pay the taxes. In other words, the unending cycle of deaths and rebirths will go on forever unless One becomes free from the Karmic Debt of the past and future.
The minion says, feel free to talk with my lord any time about your grievances but don't you avoid him. In other words confide in GOD of all that our heart speaks, for hope proceeds from faith just like plant from the seed.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, what was done in the past lives is already done. We cannot change it. But the present is very much in our hands and what we do today will shape our future. And therefore let not a moment pass without making a conscious effort so that there will be no repentance when death will knock on our door.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like a farmer pays to the Landlord to become free of his debt, we must adorn our lips with GOD Name at the very end, for it is the only way to become free from the Karmic Debt and therefore from the gruelling cycle of repeated sufferings."

He says, all the self consciousness and pride dissolves and all the desires fuse into a single desire of  meeting the Beloved when the tongue is bejewelled with the Name Worship of GOD.

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the mind will not remain empty for long. And therefore One must practise refilling it with thoughts of hope, faith and positivity or in other words with the Name Worship of GOD Narayan.
He says, let the Name Worship of GOD Narayan remain ever in your tongue of thought, else wanderings through repeated sufferings will become inevitable.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, in the quest of the fulfilling experience of the Name Worship of GOD Narayan, his desire to seek the Desireless goes for  more and more and more."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj portrays Pandharpur, the Abode of Supreme GOD Vitthal, as a ship laden with a sole merchandise of GOD Name Vitthal, moored on the banks of River Chandrabhaga.
O'Wise, he says, waste not this opportunity and unship as much as you can, for these riches is the True Wealth on the journey of your Self Realisation.
He says, the sails of this ship that harness the power of wind are nothing but GOD Name Vitthal.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, he assumes himself as a stevedor unlading this ship of its Riches, the lone merchandise of GOD Name Vitthal."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, pure is the body and bereft of vile tongue is the virtuous who remains ever absorbed in the Name Worship of GOD Vishnu incessantly and in whose company the seeds of ignorance are roasted. The dust of his feet is desired by GOD who follows him wherever he goes.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like the River Saraswati is present yet unseen in the confluence of the Rivers Ganga and Yamuna, so is the Name Warship of GOD which links man with his Maker, for just like the confluece ceases the borders, the seeker merges with GOD Vishnu, the Lord of Supreme Abode Vaikuntha, through His Name Worship becoming One with Him."
