गोड एक आहे अविट गोविंद I
आणिक ते छंद नाशिवंत II
तळमळ त्याची कांही तरी करा I
कां रे निदसुरा बुडावया II
या जनासी भय यमाचे कां नाही I
सांडियेेली तिही एकीं राज्य II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the worldly charms fade away but the rare One whose tongue incessantly tastes the nectar of GOD Name Govinda, lives in perpetual peace and ecstasy.
And therefore he earnestly implores us to wake up from the age-old slumber of ignorance and practice the Name Worship of GOD as much as possible before it is too late.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, perplexing is the ignorance towards repeated sufferings when history is replete with examples of Great Kings who relinquished their Kingdoms for their Quest of Self Realisation."
