II श्रीराम जय राम जय जय राम II
जेणे अग्निमाजी घातलासे पाव I
नेणता तो राव जनक होता II
तान भूक जिही साहिले आघात I
तयां पाय हात काय नाही II
नाही ऐसा तिही केला संवसार I
दुःखाचे डोंगर तोडावया II
याच जन्मे घडे देवाचे भजन I
आणीक हे ज्ञान नाही कोठे II
"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, since time immemorial history is replete with examples of those who acknowledged the "I am the body" idea as the True Bondage and therefore strived for developing an awareness of nature of our mind, for the mind imagines bondage. The awareness of King Janaka was so poised in the Absolute that pleasure and pain were equal to him even when he sit on the throne with one leg thrust into a fire. He carried out his duties as ruler, yet maintained the equanimity in the midst of all.
He says, unhindered by the sufferings of the body, either by pangs of hunger or by seeking refuge in the forest, were those who acknowledged that among the countless species, the Name Worship of GOD happens only in this rare human birth."
