"There is no greater miracle than getting up every morning and realising that we are indeed alive, yet we seldom appreciate such awesome miracle. However things don't happen this way with most of us because as soon as One gets up in morning he is concerned more about how to earn his living than making his rare human birth fruitful for Self Realisation.
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj implores the man shrouded in the veil of ignorance and says, not we but only GOD meets all our needs. He feeds the birds of air and clothes the grass with the splendour of beautiful flowers. None but only GOD feeds all.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, GOD has a plan for everyone, for he has made arrangements long back when One was still in the womb of his mother. He says, the Chatak Bird only drinks rain water drop by drop as it pours down. However thirsty it may be, it doesn't drink any other kind of water. It is said that when it gets thirsty it calls on Rain GOD to make it rain. And it is believed that its call is always answered. Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like Chatak Bird, One must have faith in that All Pervading GOD that a sincere call to Him from bottom of heart will never go unanswered.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, GOD has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may never understand His Wisdom, but we simply have to trust His Will."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the impossibility of pursuing Self Quest while living a worldly life of materialistic perspective. He says, this is because the worldly life revolves around Attachment while the journey of Self Realisation is about inculcating the sense of living in the world but not of the world.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, every creation has three qualities, Sattva, Raja and Tama whose proportion may vary. He says, Raja quality denotes motion, energy, action and passion, all things that make the worldly life sensational. Ignorance is the root cause of Tama quality because of which the rare human birth is wasted on frivolous material pursuits. In contrast to this, Sattva quality denotes harmony, feelings of goodness, contentment and forgiveness which make One an aspirant for Liberation.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like joy is something entirely different from pleasure, so different are the Self Quest and living worldly life. He says, Renunciation is not renunciation of wealth or renouncing the home. A conscious annihilation of One's inclination of holding on is True Renunciation."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about how GOD Vothoba haunts his devotees visiting His abode at Pandharapur with His Grace.
He says, the Pilgrimage Pandharpur is the abode of all the souls, living as well as non living, who are on their journey of Self Realisation. And hence anyone visiting Pandharpur is bound to get influenced by the Name Worship of GOD Vithoba, with which the place resonates.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the Name Worship of GOD Vithoba is same as visiting the Pilgrimage Pandharpur, for such a devotee absorbed in the Name Worship becomes free from repeated sufferings and ultimately becomes GOD Realised Soul."

"Name and Named are but One, just like Light cannot be separated from the Sun. The All Pervading Formless GOD is beyond the grasp of mortals, still man has, through ages, endeavored to clothe Him with epithets. But all goes in vain, for it is impossible to name the Infinite through limited perspective of we humans. This composition of Sant Tukaram Maharaj is about Name of GOD Vithoba, much talked about, but rarely pondered over about what the Name actually implies.
In an effort to construe the nuances of Name of GOD 'Vithoba', Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, 'Vi' stands for 'Vid' which implies Wisdom, which is envisaged in the  'Form' by the words 'Sot'. In other words  the Name of GOD Vithoba is the Manifest Form of Eternal Truth Unmanifested.
In another way Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, 'Vi' implies Duality and 'thoba' is its annihilation. In other words, GOD Realisation is possible only when One transcends beyond the realm of ignorance of Duality, the 'I am the body' idea.
In still another attempt Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, 'Vi' stands for an Iconic Eagle Garuda and 'thoba' stands for 'Mounting Base'. In other words GOD Vithoba is but other name of GOD Vishnu whose vehicle mount is Garuda.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Scriptures since time immemorial have propounded that One can cleanse the mirror of mind only through Name Worship of GOD. He says, Shesh or Sheshnag, the  King of Snakes, who holds all the planets of universe on his hoods, is an ardent devotee of GOD Vishnu. Singing the glories of GOD Vishnu ceaselessly however teared his tongue and hence Shesh became the bed on which GOD Vishnu reclines, to have a constant companionship with the Named, the Supreme Lord Vishnu..
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, meditating on GOD Vithoba is a panacea of all ills. He says, Name Worship of GOD Vithoba is like a lifebuoy, the only way to transcend the ocean of death forever."

"World is an illusion" doesn't mean that what we experience doesn't exists. The material world we live in is called Maya, a Cosmic Illusion, for what we believe it to be, it is not like that. It is anything like worldly possessions or worldly relations that makes One forgetful of his True Nature is Maya. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about Maya, an imagination of conditioned mind that never ends and never exists. He says, whipping hard all over the body, the skin feels like it is on fire even if there are no marks of lashing left behind. Similarly though the ignorance of "I am the body" idea engrosses One's worldly life in entirety, he knows that nothing is in his hands, for he is merely a puppet in the hands of destiny.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Maya neither can be comprehended nor can be figured out in its totality. It cannot be perceived in its entirety by any limited point of view. He says, Maya creates Duality in our mind. The only way to be free from its bondage is yearning for Spiritual Wisdom, for only the Spiritually Wise who has transcended the realm of Duality knows of its secret.
Often ashes are rubbed on the body to protect One from all fears. Here Sant Tukaram Maharaj has illuminated with a great paradox. He says, Fear Of Something implies Two-ness which is in itself an illusion, a trick of Maya, the pretention of That Which Is Not.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Maya encompasses our whole existence, for only with intense longing for GOD and mental fortitude we may free ourselves from the unending cycle of deaths and rebirths and from the forgetfulness of our True Self."

"This composition of Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about dialogue with Self which a seeker on his journey of Self Realisation must have to make each moment count in his rare human birth to attain the ultimate goal, the Liberation.
He says, spiritual unfoldment happens when One meditates on the Lotus Feet of GOD, for it dispels mundane preoccupations of ego. He says, devotion to the Lotus Feet of GOD is same as Name Worship of GOD. And hence Sant Tukaram Maharaj implores the seeker not to waste even a moment of his precious human birth without reciting the Holy Ram Nam.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Blessed is the seeker who listens the Holy Ram Nam uttered by him as well as listens intently the discourses by Spiritually Wise and feels delighted.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj implores the seeker on his Self Quest to hate no one, no matter how much they have wronged him, for Hate hurts the hater more than the hatred.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, he who is devoid of the power to forgive, is devoid of power of Love, for Love is GOD and GOD is Love."

In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about a Self Realised Soul who has become One with Supreme Consciousness.
Illustrating with meaningful analogies he says, ordinarily fear makes One kill the snakes, but for the Spiritually Awakened it is a matter of great sorrow, for he feels the pain when the snake is harmed. This Is because he  has realised that he is that which the snake is made of, the all pervading Supreme Essence that encompasses the world entire.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the earthly being has forgotten about its own infiniteness due to the ignorance of "I am the body" idea. But the Self Realised Soul having transcended the Duality has become One with Supreme Consciousness. This Oneness makes him feel the pain inflicted on others as if he was subjected to it directly. Illustrating this with a beautiful analogy Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like One feels pain when a hair is plucked from his skin, the Spirirually Awakened feels sorrow experienced by others.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj reiterates the Eternal Truth propounded by Scriptures since time immemorial. He says, seeing Oneness in everything is the True Worship, for it is Worship of Supreme Self by itself."

"The Ageless Wisdom propounds, the ultimate nature of Duality is Non Dual. The plurality which we witness all around us is but the manifestation of the Eternal Oneness. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the Supreme Truth, GOD, who transcends and embraces both the Eternal Oneness and plurality. He says, One becomes exhausted with the unending pursuit of seeking fulfillment through sense gratification but attains only temporary and unfulfilling pleasures in the end.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, our Subconscious Self being veiled by Maya, the Cosmic Illusion, manifests as craving of senses and the mind then imagines the pleasure of senses, thus getting trapped in the vicious cycle of sense gratification. Therefore, the Wise strive for detachment rather than the unending pursuit of fleeting pleasures.
Illustrating the Oneness of GOD at the root of all Duality Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, though our body gives and receives through hands or moves ahead through legs, each are mere instruments in the hands of GOD.
Illuminating the oneness of Supreme Essence, Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, GOD is the sun and rays emanating from it. The Duality however exists in our perception of distinguishing a ray from Sun.The perception clouded by Maya creates an illusion of That Which Is Not.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the life giving Essence is only One and everything is manifestation of His glory. He says, just like a wave in the ocean ultimately merges back into the ocean, the matter ripples out of Supreme Consciousness, ultimately to merge back in its source, the all pervading Unmanifest."

"The magic fades too fast, the scent of summer never lasts, for nothing remains....Nothing lasts."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj points out the contradiction between man's false ego sense which creates an impression of him as larger than life, as if everything is in his hands and what actually unfolds in reality. He says, man forgets that his children are but sons and daughters of life's longing for itself. They come through him but not from him. And though they are with him, they belong not to him. Though man is haunted by "This is mine", neither his parents are his nor his pets are his, for all that he holds dearly is "That Which Is Not.", an illusion.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, even in the grief for the dead, man's possessiveness lurks silently but consciously. Even if One boasts of his strong ties with worldly relations, he will be all alone when death knocks on his door.
Illuminating with a paradox Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, a very powerful man after his death needs others to carry him to funeral pyre.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, nothing in the world is permanent, and we are foolish when we ask anything to last. He says, but we will be still more foolish not to make most of this rare human birth while we still have it. He says, feel nothing, know nothing, do nothing, have nothing, for we must give up all to Supreme Lord Panduranga,
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, those who leave everything in GOD's Hand will eventually see GOD's Hand in everything."

"The worldly objects are ever transitory so is material wealth. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, often One finds comfort in associating himself with influential people who may help him in trouble. But his prudence doesn't come to his rescue in any way when death grabs him.
He says, the world we see all around, separate from us is due to the spell of two-ness cast by Maya, the Mistress of Illusion. That Which Is Not. The incessant recital of Holy Ram Nam is the only way One can live in the world but not of the world, for transformation happens on the other side of surrender.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the Holy Ram Nam annihilates the ego, for only He can make a pauper of a king or reduce a mountain to a mustard seed."

"Live ! Don't just exist !!!, for One needs to make each moment of this rare human birth count in the quest of his True Self."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like we are not supposed to just exist but make this precious human birth fruitful to seek Liberation, One needs to look beyond obvious to seek Self Realisation. In other words Self Quest is impossible unless One dares to see beyond "I am the body" idea which encompasses our worldly perception absolutely.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, parents with their mundane worldly vision make their children aware of the very ethos of their culture, but they are not visionaries and hence are unable to enlighten them beyond their body consciousness.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like all blind following a blind man with a stick will follow suit if he falls in a ditch, One needs to be consciously aware of what path he is following and where he wants to go on his Self Quest, for only then he will save himself from wandering aimlessly in this very short and precious human birth.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like a fish gets enticed by the bait at the end of fishing rod and  gets caught, there will be no escape from unending cycle of deaths and rebirths if One chooses to live a mundane life full of sense gratification.
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj has probed into One's mind with a perspective of a man riding the horse. He says, just like horse's gait of walk, trot, canter and gallop and the way rider saddles the horse makes him a good horseman, it is up to us what we wish to do in this rare human birth, a unique opprtunity to become free from bondage of repeated sufferings."

"What is the greatest wonder of earthly life? --- Everyday countless people die all around , but those who still breath, live like they are immortals."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj has elucidated this thought. He says, the ignorance of "I am the body" idea is so overwhelming that seeking sense gratification seems to be more aluring than pursuing the journey of Self Realisation.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the greatest paradox is, though it is no secret that aging of body in inevitable and the life force is bound to weaken as time goes by, One in the firm grip of "I am the body" idea wastes his precious human birth chasing the material pursuits instead of seeking Self Quest. It is just like chasing the mirage in the desert or trying to grab That Which Is Not.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the sense of discrimination makes the human birth precious among the infinite species of the universe. He says, Blessed are those who make use of it to seek the highest reward, the Liberation. "

"There is no darkness but ignorance."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about ignorance which is the root cause of all sufferings. He says, One who is born yields to senses, but is sadly unaware that it is all a state of delusion. He says, no misfortune could be greater than to be born as human and to remain unaware of its true purpose, the Liberation.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, foolishness, a deadly combination of arrogance and ignorance, is doing ignorantly something forbidden repeatedly by Scriptures since time immemorial. But it happens because our ignorance doesn't allow us to discriminate between the Eternal and earthly, the Bliss and the suffering.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the True Happiness comes from being Aware of Awareness. It is always the untruth that causes suffering. He says, only when One dares to abandon the untruth, the Absolute Truth shines in its full glory, for Truth makes One happy, Truth Liberates."

He says, sometimes great deeds go unheard of while an insignificant deed may bring big rewards, for everything is but a play of Destiny. We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, a conscious detachment from the cacophony of worldly chores is possible when One surrenders to GOD's Will leaving his Prarabdha to pursue its inevitable journey."

Illustrating this with beautiful analogies Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like the texture of a single grain of cooked rice is enough to find out whether the rice is cooked well or not, the imitation always speaks for itself.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like a Swan Bird which separates milk from water and drinks only milk, One can hardly masquerade the connotation of  Discourses of Spiritually Wise which spring from his journey deep within.

"Truth exists, only falsehood has to be invented."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like a man is not perfected without trials, hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny. In other words trials and tribulations prepare the seeker of Self Realisation for the longest journey, his quest for the source of his being.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, if every fool wore a crown, we should all be kings, for One can believe whatsoever he likes, but the Truth remains the Truth, no matter how sweet the lie may taste.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, we see ourselves in the mirror. Just like this illusion of two-ness where we know that what we see in mirror doesn't exists, the duality we experience all around us is That Which Is Not, though it seems very real. He says, the doorstep to the temple of Wisdom is a knowledge of our ignorance, for all Truth and understanding is a result of a Divine glow which is GOD Himself."

"Nothing happens in life as a random coincidence. So is One's instinct to pursue the journey of Self Realisation. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, all beings come in this world with the baggage of their individual Prarabdha, the effect of actions in their past lives, which One has to live to exhaust it, to be free from it, and it cannot be avoided, for even GODS in their incarnation are no exception to it.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Prarabdha compels us to follow certain path, for it can be chasing frivolous material pursuits or Self Quest. But the choice is also not in our hands as it is also decided by our Prarabdha. He says, Self Realisation is a journey that unfolds slowly over countless lifetimes and hence if One feels yearning for it from deep within then it is nothing but continuation of his journey of Self Quest started long back.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, what happens in our present birth is due to what we did in our past lives and we do not have any control over it. However a conscious look within can save us from doing things which may cost us dearly when they become our Prarabdha in our future lives. He says, it is of paramount importance because the only way to be free from this vicious Karmic Cycle is to do conscious effort of GOD Realisation in this very rare human birth.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, life full of hardships is a recipe of Self Realisation and it is a boon in disguise. GOD tests His true devotees with gruelling hardships unheard of, but Blessed are those who subject themselves to these testing times accepting them as GOD's Will, for only they are rewarded by His Realisation which material wealth cannot buy.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, this worldly life is a play of Maya, the Cosmic Illusion. It is That Which Is Not. It makes us forget the true purpose of precious human birth, the Liberation. He says, blessed are those who dare to awaken from the slumber of ignorance and take a step towards GOD, for even a step in His direction is a big leap towards Self Realisation."

Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, if One becomes a language of affection then it creates Bliss, for faith makes all things possible and love makes all things easy.

However with the rise of false ego sense "I am the body" idea becomes predominant and conceals the True Self under the cloak of ignorance. Illustrating with beautiful analogies Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like a thief detests a star lit night, One haunted by his false ego sense avoids company of Spiritually Wise, for he knows that his hollowness will surely get exposed in the light of their Divine Wisdom.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like for a woman engaged in flesh trade, a decent neighbourhood makes no sense, so unpleasant is the company of Spiritually Wise for the One absorbed in "I am the body" idea.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like a Philosopher's Stone cannot change anything in a broken piece of pot, the mask of ignorance cannot be shred unless the wearer wishes to do it consciously.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like it is impossible to cook stones even if they are immersed in boiling milk, it is almost impossible to convince the consciously ignorant about how fruitless it is to chase the frivolous material pursuits in this rare human birth.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the journey of Self Realisation unfolds over countless lifetimes, and hence One feeling the need to be associated with Spiritually Wise is no ordinary event. It is just a culmination of One's conscious efforts of Self Realisation in all his past lives. He says, the instinct of Self Realisation cannot be crafted, for it just happens only for the Blessed."

"Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about Swearing, which is as innate as expression of anger. He says, often in our impotent rage we make curseful utterances just like a sorcerer in an act of black magic, where the object of our rage is to become that which we call it or be projected in abomination.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured. Similarly life truly is a Boomrang, what One gives, he gets.
He says, even a one bad deed is enough to rob One of his lifetime virtue.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like profanity is the common crutch of a conversational cripple, no harm could happen to the One on whom these profanities are hurled, for nothing but One's Prarabdha or the baggage of effects of actions in his past lives that decides what happens to One in his present birth.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, anger is a killing thing. It kills the man who angers, for each rage leaves him less than he had been before, it takes something from him."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, to believe in GOD is to accept that there is something superior to us, to which we need to bow down with utmost surrender, to understand it and be consciosly aware of it. However few having an alarming false ego sense are an exception for this to happen. Their towering ego is like a glue with which they get stuck in themselves.
Illustrating with beautiful analogies Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the impossibility of making them interested in GOD. He says, just like One cannot cook food in a broken utensil, the Godly thought cannot adhere to the mind of egoist.
He says, just like a broken piece of pot doesn't become gold even if it is grated hard by Philosopher's Stone, though change is the inherent nature of the world, heart of egoist seldom softens.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like water poured over inverted bowl is surely wasted, no wisdom can ever sink in the heart of an egoist which is overcrowded with himself.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, true humility is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking of yourself less, for the more humble we stay the more GOD blesses us."

"Life asked death, 'Why do people love me but hate you?' Death responded 'Because you are a Beautiful Lie and I am a Painful Truth.'
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj implores all born humans to wake up from deep slumber of ignorance, for Liberation from unending cycle of deaths and rebirths is possible only in this rare human birth. He says, transformation happens on the other side of wholehearted surrender to GOD. He furthers saying that the ignorance of "I am what my body is" is the root cause of all sufferings. He says, all that is matter is doomed to perish and this body to which we mistakenly identify as ourselves is no exception to it.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, man may amass immense wealth and riches of the world but feels vulnerable when he sees his body succumbing to aging as time goes by. Often in the frenzy of life man gets carried away with the notion that he is the doer, when he is nothing but a puppet in the hands of fate whose strings are seldom seen.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like a man playing the role of a King in a drama disrobes as soon as the play is over, all the world is a stage, and all the men and women are merely players having their exits and their entrances. He says, just like in a drama, timing of actor matters most than merely the length of his role, One must make every moment count in his rare human birth to attain the highest reward, the Liberation."

In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like the beauty cannot be seen or even touched, but must be felt with the heart, a mother instinctively knows what her unborn baby craves to eat.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like One cannot resist the temptation of tasting again and again the food he relishes most, the Name Worship of GOD happens unknowingly and spontaneously to the devotee absorbed in His worship from deep within, for Truth always has its own ways to reveal itself."

"If the hurtful words pierce our heart and weigh our soul, it is all because we are in the strong grip of Duality, That Which Is Not, which creates a sense of separateness in us, when in reality the Omnipresent and All Pervading Supreme Essence is divisionless. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the sense of calling our body as us is the root cause of all sufferings. He says, our mind is like a cloudy sky, in essence clear and pure, but overcast by false ego sense which roots "I am the body" idea deep within us.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, only Self Realisation dispels the clouds of ignorance of "I am the body" idea. As the sense of separateness dissolves, there is nothing like "This is mine" and "This is yours" that prevails any longer. The Self Realised Soul having realised that "I am the body" idea itself is the real affliction, remains untouched by what someone calls him by his bodily apparel.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the ignorance of "I am the body" idea must die, or nothing of Divine can live in us, for Supreme Lord Narayan sends no one away empty except those who are full of themselves."

"Wisdom is not knowledge, not information. It is your inner being awake, alert, watchful and witnessing the glory of the True Self."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the difference between mere recitation of verses of Vedic Scriptures and trying to grasp their true meaning. He says, mere reciting the verses of Vedic Scriptures is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is Experience, for One needs Experience to gain Wisdom. Illustrating with meaningful analogies he says, just like tasting good food is a prerogative of tongue and not the eyes, One who reads the verses of Scriptures without trying to understand the Truth behind them will remain barren of the Divine experience emanating from it by living its Wisdom.
In another analogy he says, just like valuables which a porter carries on his back don't make him rich, One who recites the verses of Scriptures aloud without trying to understand what they mean remains forever naive.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, it is the prerogative of only Self Realised Soul to know the Eternal Truth propounded by the Vedic Scriptures, for only he by becoming One with  Supreme Lord Panduranga, the Creator, Preserver and Destroyer of the universe,  becomes epitome of Wisdom of Scriptures himself.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the Self Realised Soul, having realised his True Self becomes Living Liberated, for the fruit of Liberation holds within it the root of its happening, GOD."

"It is a rare opportunity to be born as human beings, for only they are endowed with a sense of discernment which other creations in this universe lack. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj earnestly implores us not to waste this precious human birth on frivolous material pursuits, for it is the only time One can be conscious of his true purpose, the Self Realisation. He says, success is determined not by whether or not One faces obstacles, but by his reaction to them and hence One who has initiated himself on his Self Quest must inculcate forbearance and be ready to meet the hurdles and pitfalls on his way head on without a grumble.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the Name Worship of GOD is the devotion to His Lotus Feet and only wholehearted devotion at His feet can dispel all troubles born of ignorance. He says, even a moment not spent in the Name Worship of GOD will be a great loss, while those moments spent in His thoughts are ever blessed. This earth is the best place to know GOD and to experience GOD, and therefore every moment of this rare human birth is an auspicious time, an opportunity to go leap and bounds to Liberation.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the rare human birth has an edge over all other creation because only humans are endowed with the ability to think, reflect, probe, question and understand our True Self making it ideal to engage in the journey of Self Realisation. He says, a conscious effort in this precious human birth will certainly awaken the slumbering True Nature within us sooner or later."

"The tragedy of death is not that it ends life so soon, but it shatters all our beliefs. The greatest belief of all is that though day by day we see countless people succumbing to death all around us, a strange thing  makes us believe that we are going to live forever."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about our ignorance of "I am the body" idea which makes us believe that the world we live and see unfolding all around us is the only Truth, for in reality it is the other way round. He says, just like every closed eye is not sleeping and every open eye is not seeing, the value of experience is not seeing in much, but in seeing wisely.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, man's true wealth is the good he does in this world, for One isn't wealthy until he has something money can't buy.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, no one and nothing is Eternal. Everyone has to learn to say goodbye, for all that is born must die. He says, since time immemorial death is enjoying a good chaw of the bodies assumed by us in each births, and hence it is worthless to fear death unless One tries consciously to break out of the vicious cycle of deaths and rebirths.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, a sense of discernment makes this rare human birth an ideal path to seek Self Realisation. He says, within the infinite myths lies the Eternal Truth, for there are two ways to be fooled, One is to believe what isn't true and the other is to refuse to believe what is true."

"The irony of life is that those who wear masks often tell us more truths than those with open faces."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the One who pretends to be Spiritually Wise, but is far from it. He says, just like it is improper to build a house having very small door connecting its spacious inside with outside, so is despicable the One who pretends to be a good listener keeping his mouth shut but his mind is in turmoil and runs out wayward like a wild horse.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, One can speak with spiritual eloquence and maintain holy appearance, but in the end it is the behaviour that reveals his true character. Spirituality is often merchandized by those whose hearts are laden with desires.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, those who conquer their minds are beings of renunciation and detachment, for both are the conduits to the Self Realisation."

"The most adventurous journey to embark on is the journey to your True Self, for life's journey on earth is the only Sacred travel."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about what the seeker on his journey of Self Realisation must do and what he must avoid to save him from going astray. He says, Self Quest is a marathon and not a sprint and hence the seeker on his Self Quest needs to pace him accordingly, for slow and steady always wins the race.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the seeker of his True Self must consciously refrain from mere emulating the footsteps of the Wise, for what is much needed is to seek what the Wise sought. But those who do not adhere to the path led out by the Wise are sure to get astray just like a sheep without a shepherd.
Sant Tukaram  Maharaj says, this rare human birth is the only ephemeral that has lasting value, for only in this precious birth One can strive for Liberation. And hence he says, the seeker on his Self Quest must constantly introspect and find out whether his life is moving forward towards his goal or just moving like a pendulum. A conscious look within to find out about how many negative traits were eliminated and how many virtues he was successful  inculcating in him is of paramount importance, for better to introspect than regret. Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, maintaining pace despite these speed breakers is a challenge, for only those who meet this challenge are souls of great strength and courage who deserve to attain the Highest, Self Realisation.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, words are meaningless without intent and follow through. He says, the seeker on his journey of Self Realisation needs to live what he believes in and be the change himself, for action expresses priorities. He says, faith is all about doing. You are how you act, not just how you believe "

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about Bodily Manifestations of Supreme Lord Vishnu to which his devotees, Vaishnavas, can personally relate to, more than a distant view of GOD. He says, these Manifestations are a deliberate descent of GOD into mortal realms for a particular purpose.
Illustrating with beautiful analogies Sant Tukaram Maharaj has explained how the Worship of Supreme Lord Vishnu and Worship of his Earthly Manifestations are one and the same as it all leads to the Supreme Divine.
Illustrating with beautiful analogy Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, a baby in the womb needs no special invitation than mother, for the unborn baby is flavoured  by the food the mother has eaten.
In another analogy Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like a father experiences immense happiness by the  success of his son, Oneness of GOD and His Earthly Manifestation is ever Eternal.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, drinking the nectar of immortality saves One from unending desires and disease, for connecting our hearts through love yields a nectar so sweet that we are forever full.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, all embodied life is in reality an Incarnation of GOD. He says, the Omnipresent Supreme Lord Vishnu dwells within all beings so that they are all incarnations of Him. The Worship of every being thus becomes Worship of Supreme Lord Vishnu, the all pervading Supreme Essence."
