In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about a Self Realised Soul who has become One with Supreme Consciousness.
Illustrating with meaningful analogies he says, ordinarily fear makes One kill the snakes, but for the Spiritually Awakened it is a matter of great sorrow, for he feels the pain when the snake is harmed. This Is because he has realised that he is that which the snake is made of, the all pervading Supreme Essence that encompasses the world entire.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the earthly being has forgotten about its own infiniteness due to the ignorance of "I am the body" idea. But the Self Realised Soul having transcended the Duality has become One with Supreme Consciousness. This Oneness makes him feel the pain inflicted on others as if he was subjected to it directly. Illustrating this with a beautiful analogy Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like One feels pain when a hair is plucked from his skin, the Spirirually Awakened feels sorrow experienced by others.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj reiterates the Eternal Truth propounded by Scriptures since time immemorial. He says, seeing Oneness in everything is the True Worship, for it is Worship of Supreme Self by itself."
