"The tragedy of death is not that it ends life so soon, but it shatters all our beliefs. The greatest belief of all is that though day by day we see countless people succumbing to death all around us, a strange thing makes us believe that we are going to live forever."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about our ignorance of "I am the body" idea which makes us believe that the world we live and see unfolding all around us is the only Truth, for in reality it is the other way round. He says, just like every closed eye is not sleeping and every open eye is not seeing, the value of experience is not seeing in much, but in seeing wisely.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, man's true wealth is the good he does in this world, for One isn't wealthy until he has something money can't buy.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, no one and nothing is Eternal. Everyone has to learn to say goodbye, for all that is born must die. He says, since time immemorial death is enjoying a good chaw of the bodies assumed by us in each births, and hence it is worthless to fear death unless One tries consciously to break out of the vicious cycle of deaths and rebirths.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, a sense of discernment makes this rare human birth an ideal path to seek Self Realisation. He says, within the infinite myths lies the Eternal Truth, for there are two ways to be fooled, One is to believe what isn't true and the other is to refuse to believe what is true."
