O'GOD he says, let me be a little nobody than an evil somebody, for no matter how much a snake sheds skin, it's still a snake."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says,  the countless Wise since time immemorial have sought Liberation due to the fear of repeated sufferings. However we, the devotees of Supreme Lord Vishnu, do not wish to go anywhere , for we enjoy the bliss of His abode Viaikunth here in this earthly life remaining absorbed in His Name worship incessantly.

He says, it is said that the path to GOD Realisation is full of hurdles, but for us nothing hinders, for our very world has become GOD Vitthal and we see Him unfold here, there and everywhere, all around us.

He says, together with as many as possible we will enjoy the  unparalleled bliss of the Name Worship of GOD, for only His Love transcends all sufferings.

"Nothing happens to a person that he does not for some reason or other deserve. Usually One cannot comprehend the reasons behind happenings. The definite invisible cause of the visible effect cannot be necessarily confined to our present life. It may be traced to some remote past birth.
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about shadow of Karma in our past lives which influences our present life and challenges us in so many ways. He says, to the crooked eye all things are wierd, as certainly as to the jaundiced they are yellow.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, One who spins about himself finds his surrounding whirling about him. Similarly nasty things done by One in his past lives compel him to follow suit in his present life thus becoming the root cause of his sufferings. He says, what we do in our present life is due to what we did in our past lives and over which we have no control. However if we make a conscious effort in our present life to think good and to do good then One can surely break out of an otherwise vicious cycle.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, we are what we made ourselves through our actions in our past lives. We ourselves are responsible for our own happiness and misery. We create our own heaven and we create our own hell. He says, only we are the architects of our fate."

"It is believed that soul goes through many transformations through 8.4 million species to get a human birth. Yet despite this, most waste this rare human birth to chase frivolous material pursuits rather than to seek GOD Realisation. However for this to happen One must be aware of what he has, else he will lose the precious opportunity despite being given a fair chance. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about this unawareness or ignorance which may prove to be very damaging if One spends his rare human birth for mere sleeping, eating and procreating than seeking Liberation which is its true purpose.
Illustrating with beautiful analogies Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, an ox, the beast of burden, carries on its back a sack packed with sugar. However being unaware of what the sack holds, the animal just carries it from one place to other. He eats fodder and not the sugar. Similarly despite having human birth if One is unaware of what significance it holds then in all likelihood he will live mundane life thus wasting this precious opportunity to just survive rather than to seek Liberation from the repeated suffrings. Since the reward One gets depends on what he aspires, mere survival will make sure that he will never go beyond the endless cycle of deaths and rebirths.
In another analogy Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like a camel carrying on its back the boxes full of riches is unaware of the preciousness of the goods, One unaware of the golden chance he has of having rare human birth, will absorb himself in sense gratification than pursuing the highest goal, the Self Realisation.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, death abruptly puts full stop to One's life and suddenly all the riches he has earned chasing his desires all through his life become useless to him. Not he but all those who survive him are benefitted by his wealth. Being ignorant of the worthlessness of  the burden of desires he carried for whole of his life, he becomes only a loser at the end, for the betrayal of the body to whom he calls as Self is the most harsh of all.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, One must understand the worth of this rare human birth as a conduit to Self Realisation so that only then he will act accordingly to seek the end result, the Self Realisation. He says, everything depends on how One makes use of  his sense of discrimination, for it is the only way to be rid of the ignorance which is the root cause of all the sufferings."

" It is said that fruits cannot will itself to ripen, and so it is with us.We seek the Supreme Lord and search for the truth but we will be thwarted at every turn if we will it.
We are creatures of volition and when the time is right, the fruit falls naturally from the tree. Only the Divine Mother Nature can ritualise it's own demise to keep itself in motion. There is but only one thing that we can do and that is absolutely surrender and wait with Love and devotion from within.
Elucidating this thought Sant Tukaram Maharaj  says that like a ripened fruit, mind of the pious soul is ready for the makers hands. With a perfect confluence of righteousness and absolute devotion to Supreme Lord, his journey of Self Realisation can unfold with a blessing of an Enlightened Being,
Ultimately everything is about our mindset and how it's outlook is cultivated. One must ingrain the virtue of patience from within and then wait patiently.
On the other hand, for the One following wild and unrestrained behaviour, all goes in vain. Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that it is similar to the fruit being plucked before it is ripened.
Summing up, Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that Enlightenment is about how One moulds his mind and hence inculcates from deep within the devotion to the Divine Lord. "

And therefore knowing the right path is paramount, for life is unpredictable and the countdown to death has begun the moment we have entered this world.

He says, bestow upon me Your Grace O'GOD Narayan so that I use this rare human birth for Your Realisation, else I may waste it chasing frivolous material pursuits to become a loser in the end."

He says, One must refrain from too much reasoning and objective understanding which makes mind wander, for a mind all logic is like a knife all blade. It makes the hand bleed that uses it

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, there is only one religion, though there are countless versions of it. And it is nothing but making every moment of this rare human birth count for the Name Worship of GOD Hari, for He disappoints not those who seek Him unflinchingly with One Pointed Devotion, from Entry to the Grand Exit.

He says, by the very nature, the mind seeks refuge in the sense gratification and hence chooses its  own downfall.

He says, rituals are but the means to reach GOD, yet often One gives undue importance to the rituals and forgets the purpose for which they are performed, the GOD Realisation,

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, we are all but the carriers of His Will. GOD has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may not understand His Wisdom, but we simply have to trust His Will."

" Among the innumerable species of living beings, man alone has been vested with the freedom of choice, he can discriminate between right and wrong and eschew that which is not conducive for his well being. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that it is rare to be born as a human being and hence it becomes imperative that it should be put to optimum use and One should not let it fritter away on materialistic pursuits.
He says, to spend this precious human birth for doing everything other than GOD Realisation is nothing but having a sight but no vision. Those who have been privileged to be born as human beings tend to take it for granted, without pausing to think, that such wonderful opportunity may not come their way again for a long long time to come as there is no guarantee about the nature of our next birth.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that in our journey from womb to tomb, no one can evade death. He earnestly insists to find the rare One who with conscious effort may put an end to this endless cycle of repeated sufferings by realising God in this rarest of rare human birth."

"What is the greatest wonder of earthly life? --- Everyday countless people die all around , but those who still breath, live like they are immortals."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj has elucidated this thought. He says, the ignorance of "I am the body" idea is so overwhelming that seeking sense gratification seems to be more aluring than pursuing the journey of Self Realisation.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the greatest paradox is, though it is no secret that aging of body in inevitable and the life force is bound to weaken as time goes by, One in the firm grip of "I am the body" idea wastes his precious human birth chasing the material pursuits instead of seeking Self Quest. It is just like chasing the mirage in the desert or trying to grab That Which Is Not.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the sense of discrimination makes the human birth precious among the infinite species of the universe. He says, Blessed are those who make use of it to seek the highest reward, the Liberation."

In other words eating a Sesame Seed on this occasion is nothing but enjoying the Supreme Bliss of GOD Realisation.

He says, this experience of Oneness with Him is no less than a bath that cleanses the mind of its inner filth, thus purifying the mind of the of the blemishes of the mortal mind.

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the true followers of GOD Hari have no fear anywhere, for the Lord of the three worlds stands guard for those who not only trust in Him but whose trust is Him.

He says, One who sows an unconditional and absolute faith in GOD Hari reaps miracles.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, to be absorbed in the Name Worship of GOD Vithoba is the way to enjoy the fountainhead of happiness devoid of fear, for the quest for GOD is the quest for True Happiness."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj describes his state of GOD Realisation.

He says, we have confined within the boundaries of the Name Worship the All Pervading GOD Hari, who holds within Him the fourteen worlds, the seven upper realms of existence namely Bhu, Bhuwar, Svar,. Mahar, Jana, Tapa, Satya and seven lower realms of existence namely Atala, Vitala, Sutala, Rasatala, Talatala, Mahatala, Patala

He says, bereft of nothing, the spiritual powers and prosperity abound us, for our wish is the command for the All Powerful who imprisoned the countless tyrants.

He says, the Greater than the Greatest who holds within Him countless cosmoses has become smaller than the smallest, dwelling our heart, for it is the force of our One Pointedness in devotion that has made the Unmanifest perceptible.

He says,  it is the desirelessness has made us more powerful than GOD."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj illustrates the journey of a lay man to GOD Realisation with a beautiful analogy.

He says, when gold jewelry is melted and turned into a pure gold bar, the individual names of ornaments cease and only Gold remains. In other words when the seeds of ignorance are roasted in the fires of Divine Wisdom, the individuality is lost, and One becomes as if he lives in the world but is not of the world.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like pure gold is precious in all corners of the world, so are the Truly Wise, for the Wisdom knows no boundaries."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, waste not a moment of this rare human birth without the Name Worship of GOD Vithoba, for the Master Troubleshooter will transcend you beyond the realm of repeated sufferings once and for all.

He says, the merit of fondly uttering the 'Hari Naam' ceaselessly instills positivity in not only the One who remains absorbed in it but also in everyone in his vicinity, for not even his antecedents remain untouched by it. In other words an otherwise long road to GOD Realisation becomes shorter in the good company."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the unlimited goodness of GOD is like Waters of the Holy River Ganga, whose waters do not lessen when a parched throat quenches his thirst.

He says, accept me O'GOD as I am, with  all my inconsistencies, for Your Grace knows no bounds even when the longing is intentional."
