आतां काढाकाढी करी गा पंढरीराया I

नाही तरी वायां गेलो दास II

जाणतां बैसलो दगडाचे नांवे I

तिचा तो स्वभाव प्राण घ्यावा II

मनाचा स्वभाव इंद्रियांची ओढी I

पतनाचे जोडी वरी हांव II

तुका म्हणे झाली अंधळ्याची परी I

आतां मज हरी वाट दावी II

 "In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, save me O'GOD Panduranga from getting drowned in the flood of worldly desires, for to be ignorant of the ignorance that this earthly life is nothing but only sufferings is no less than riding a boat made of stone  which is destined to sink due to its weight.

He says, by the very nature, the mind seeks refuge in the sense gratification and hence chooses its  own downfall.

Entreating GOD Hari Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, be the beacon of light to the One shrouded by darkness of his ignorance, for  he who assumes the bodily existence as the 'True Me' is no less than the one who has the sight but no vision."
