"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, old sins cast long shadows. 

He says, It is like all looks yellow to the jaundiced eye or One who suffers from vertigo finds the whole world revolving about him.

He says, man unearths the buried treasure but finds it full of snakes, scorpions and coal instead. In other words the wrongdoings of the past haunt man so much that he is not able to enjoy his present."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, man knows not why One is born rich and other poor, for it is like pots that come out of Pot Maker's kiln, One goes for cooking while the other carries faeces.

In another beautiful analogy he says, not all stones that are found in quarry become diamonds, for while the diamond's place is in the crown of King, the stone remains one of the many."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, while we believe that the first offering of a food should be made to GOD, lest He be displeased, Shabari won the heart of Lord Ram despite offering Him half eaten berries. And therefore he says, nothing but selfless devotion keeps GOD tied to his devotee. 

He says, just like Lord Krishna relished the rice flakes offered to Him by friend Sudama, GOD's love doesn't distinguish between whether the food offered to Him is half eaten or is less in quantity, for GOD yearns for he who yearns for Him."

" In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, embellished by the Supreme Bliss of devorion, 'Hari Naam' is constantly in our tongue of thought. We will walk on the footsteps of Sant who remain ever absorbed in 'Hari Naam'.

He says, the perennial happiness due to the constant vicinity of Lord Hari of  which Gods are so proud of, we have here in this worldly existence, for the True Abode of Lord Panduranga is not Vikuntha but the place that resonates with 'Hari Naam'.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the Supreme Abode Vaikuntha lures us no more because the abundance of "Hari Naam" itself is no less than True Liberation."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, lessons of morality to the evil minded falls on deaf ears just like no jaggery can remove bitterness of bitter gourd or nothing makes the cumin seeds lose their bitterness.

He says, the evilness to the core is just like scorpion's sting knows no caress or no cooking softens a stone.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, meanness is pleasing to the wicked just like feaces is no less than a feast to the pig."

" In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, my blessings to all who have an unconditional love for GOD. He wishes them all well and prays that their love for GOD grows and blossoms. He Bows down before those who worship GOD wholeheartedly.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, my only desire is to become desireless like those who are absorbed in "Hari Naam" all the time."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Your Name Worship O'Lord, washed off the scum of false ego attached to my conditioned mind while my mind was purified by my love for You.

He says, living in the world but not of the world has put a stop to the incessant accumulation of the Karmic debt, which makes the repeated sufferings inevitable.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, surrendering my Self at Your Feet O'Lord, I was Truly Liberated."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, walking down the path of life absorbed in "RamNam" is the way to put stop to the repeated sufferings of death and rebirth once and for all.

He says, let the attachment to the loved ones not become an excuse for  not saying "RamNam", for in the end you will be all alone on the funeral pyre.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, reluctance of saying "RamNam"is no less than dead while living."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, waste not a moment of this rare human birth without saying "RamKrishnaHari",for the Audible Seed "Hari Naam" alone makes the fruition of all endeavors come true.

He says, the Name Worship of GOD is above all vows or forest dwellings or subjecting oneself to self torture through "Panchagni Sadhana"where One subjects himself to the penance of enduring heat of five fires, the four fires lit in ritual pits around him with the fifth being the scorching sun above.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the countless rituals done in front of sacred fire do not come to the merit of "Hari Naam", the Treasure of Supreme Bliss, which is easy to recite and is available free of cost."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, GOD is Sant and Sant is GOD, for the icons of "Sant" or "GOD" are our endeavors of confining the Unmanifest within boundaries of our limited worldly perspective.

Illustrating with a beautiful analogy he says, Lord Vishnu is often called with two seemingly opposite names "Shunya" or "Zero" and "Infinite". He says, if "Infinity" is immeasurable, so is "Zero", for if "Infinity" is immeasurable plenitude, "Zero" is immeasurable emptiness. If we assume the series of values from zero to infinity then zero would be at one end and infinity would be found at the other end, which makes "Zero" and "Infinity" to be two sides of the same ungraspable coin. In the same manner he says, "Infinite" and "Zero" might seem anonymous but in reality they mean the same thing. "Lord Infinity" is no different from "Lord Zero". Here 'Lord Zero" means He who transcends all attributes or He whose existence cannot be grasped by His qualities or "Gunas" alone making Him "Nirguna", "Shunya"or the Unmanifest. And therefore he says,"Shunya" is  Almighty or "Sant" is but the "Unmanifest" manifested in Form.

In this analogy he says, "Zero" corresponds to "Sant"who lives in the world but not of the world while "Infinity" corresponds to "GOD", the Unmanifest.. And therefore he says, "GOD" and "Sant" are no different, for Sant is merely an embodiment of Divine, the Sublime Essence of World Entire."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Truly victorious is he who plays the drama of life like a silent witness, living in the world but not of the world.

He says, beware of Maya, the illusion, that which is simply an appearance like the sunset where sun appears to be setting, but in reality it is not setting. Under its influence we come to accept that we are merely the physical beings subject to aging and death, not the immortal souls that we truly are.

He says, trying to make ends meet, man has become a slave to money, the monster that keeps feeding itself.  But he forgets that in the end when he will be trampled down by death, the inevitable, the wealthiest is no more than a pauper. 

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the tyranny of expectations is the root cause of all sufferings."

" In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, though the Vedic Scriptures are replete of the myriad means of GOD Realisation, the best among all is "Hari Naam", for it is like churning out  butter, the very essence of all endeavors.

Illustrating with beautiful analogy he says, "Hari Naam" takes One to GOD Realisation without hindrance just like nothing stops a bird from plucking a fruit  high up on the tree.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, His Realisation is but the crowning fruition of the abundant virtues accumulated since time immemorial."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, man's endless quest for happiness makes him look for it by acquiring more and more or doing more and more, but in the end the True Happiness remains a myth.

He says, the Fountainhead of True Happiness is at the Feet of Lord Vithoba or in other words remaining absorbed in the Name Worship of Lord Vithoba. irrespective of circumstances.

He says, if anything can cool the fire of Kali Yuga, characterized by conflicts, deceit hypocrisy and ignorance, it is the GOD's Name which anyone and everyone can say easily and One doesn't need to be an acolyte of some Spiritual Guide to utter it.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, since there can be no harvest without sowing, there cannot be better time than " NOW" to sow the seed of Name Warship of GOD, the only door to His Realisation."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, this universe is but the manifestation of the Supreme Unmanifest.

He says, the true test of mettle is man's ability to overcome "I did this and I did that", for it the very essence of what the Vedic Scriptures are propounding since time immemorial.

He says, "Unmani" or a state of "No thought" is reached when all the attachment to the world of objects is dispelled, or when the function and action takes place but without the hindrance of conflicting thoughts and analysis."

He says, a doe is so captivated by the melody struck by the hunter that she forgets his arrows about to end her life."

The ignorance however makes One turn away from GOD."

He says, whatever Name Worship of GOD I do, I owe it to the gatherings of devotees of Lord Hari who remain absorbed in "Hari Naam".

He says, the mettle of man is tested in adversities and he, who remains firm in his beliefs comes out shining."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, life brings all sorts of sorrows and sufferings. It is what a man does with them, not what they do to him, for that is the true test of his mettle.

Illustrating with beautiful analogy he says, a True Diamond comes out unscathed no matter how much it is bludgeoned."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the chase of material pursuits is on and nobody has time to think of anything else.

He says, Wake up from the slumber of ignorance before it is too late, for when the merciless death strikes, it hits hard."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says,  there no way of knowing GOD except through experiencing Him by becoming One with Him. Those who want to experience GOD must be willing to lose themselves in GOD. GOD cannot be known from outside. He cannot be experienced so long as you are there different from Him. And when you cease to be, when you see yourself in Him, when you become One with Him, then and then only you know Him.

Illustrating this with beautiful analogy he says, surrender "Me" to the Supreme Lord just like moth to flame, for GOD Realisation is like the Candle that identified the Moth with itself."

" In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, I serve him who remains absorbed in the Holy "RamNam" not because he wants something from GOD..

He says, the True Knower never trades his wisdom."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, I have come to make a True Deal in True Wares, the merchandise of "Hari Naam", for it frees the rare buyer from the burden of "Me & Mine".

He says, the repeated sufferings of death and rebirth are inevitable for the One whom worldly glitter lures more than GOD Realisation."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Most Fortunate is he who has the Holy "RamNam" as his constant companion, guide and guardian, throughout the toils of waking hours.

He says, ignorance that makes One reluctant to recite the Holy "RamNam" kills like a poison.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, wake up from the slumber of ignorance before it is too late, for life's most precious gift is Uncertainty."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Truly Blessed is the One who mouths "RamNam" all the time.

He says, "RamNam" constantly in the tongue of thought is like savouring the sugar sweetened milk.

He says, less "Hari Naam", this rare human birth is a sheer waste, for the sufferings of mother who brought One in this world too go in vain."
