True happiness is not possible in the worldly living whose very foundation is "I am the body" idea which in itself is an illusion, That Which Is Not. And hence in this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj cautions us not to expect fulfilling bliss from our perishable bodies. He says, fate demands that we continue suffering, until we willingly seek out and start walking on the path of Self Realisation. Suffering is what GOD pours upon the Blessed to whom he would reveal Himself, His Wisdom, His Love.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Sage Markandeya who had a boon of very long life in his austere penance willfully suffered without being bothered by his body consciousness.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, life is full of sufferings and none are immune from the ravages of existence. The suffering is unbearable only if One is not certain that GOD is not for him and with him. He says, the suffering can refine us rather than destroy us only if GOD Himself walks with us in fire, for the best way for it to happen is remaining absorbed in the Name Worship of GOD.
