वाचा चापल्ये बहू जालो कुशल I

नाही बीजमूळ हाता आले II

म्हणोनि पंढरीराया दुःखी होते मन I

अंतरीचे कोण जाणे माझे II

पूज्य जालो अंगा आला अभिमान I

पुढील कारण खोळंबले II

तुका म्हणे खूण न कळेचि निरुती I

सांपडलो हाती अहंकाराचे II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, I may be an eloquent orator but that doesn't mean I am any ahead on my journey of Self Realisation. Imploring Lord Panduranga he says, it makes me very sad but who would understand my predicament?

He says, becoming revered inflated my false ego sense but stalled my Self Quest.

He says, the ignorance that "I am this body" hinders me from realising the true essence of GOD Realisation."
