He says, let me always remain in the company of the Wise, for the dust of their Feet offers true salvation.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, Your Name O' Lord is a pure ambrosia, for a draught of it quenches all my thirst."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, if it is true that our desire for like minded others is hardwired, then GOD cannot be an exception, for His Realisation is no myth for those who long for Him with true yearning from deep within.

Illustrating with beautiful analogy he says, an anvil screams in agony when hammer strikes. A diamond however may get stuck in the crevices of an anvil as it is struck by the hammer but breaks not. In other words, the brilliance of a diamond manifests not by a hammer but by a chunk of coal that did well under pressure.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, it is a pure heart that can see GOD, can speak to GOD and can see His Love abound all around, for the pure heart is a spotless mirror in which images of infinite beauty are reflected."

He says, just like Pitambar or Yellow cloth is synonymous with GOD Narayan, so is Name of the Named, for His Love knows no bounds for ithose who remani absorbed in His Name Worship.

He says, GOD seeks to discover himself in the One who pursues Him relentlessly, for truly blessed is the One who remains absorbed in the Name Worship of GOD Narayan incessantly and rises above his hunger pangs in the pursuit of this noblest of virtues."

All my senses have become habitual of seeking Him, for in His contemplation the eyes see and yet do not see, the ears hear, and yet do not hear, the tongue speaks, and yet does not speak.

He says,  I behold the Divine grandeur of GOD Paduranga hands akimbo standing on a brick with the two gifts I open every morning, for they are my eyes."

"It is said that "The Wisdom tends to grow in proportion to One's awareness of One's ignorance. As our awareness grows, so we grow."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about paramount importance of awareness in Self Quest. This awareness is a key to make proper choices so that unpleasant consequences can be avoided. He says, One is free to choose, but not free from the consequence of his choice. In a way knowledge of consequences helps One to keep him on track of attaining the highest, the Self Realisation.
He says, there is an inherent sense in everyone to know what is  good for him and what is harmful to him. Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, we have to make use of this deeply ingrained sense in us to make choice of the right path in our Self Quest.
Illustrating with beautiful analogy he says, just like our instinctive reflex of protecting our eyes which happens when the irritating grain of sand sits in the corner of our eye, we must protect ourselves from all things which are detrimental to our Self Quest.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, by instinct One favours his children more than other children, It is this sense of discrimination which GOD has gifted to we humans, helps us to discriminate bewtween what is good and what is harmful to us on our journey of Self Realisation.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, awareness of true purpose of this rare human birth is paramount over everything else and just like a farmer stores seeds for his future requirements, we must constantly think of making utmost of this precious human birth to attain Self Realisation, the crowning fruition of all endeavors."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the Supreme Self alias ''Hari Naam' is the very source of everything, for everything comes into being and lives by it. He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. Nobody knows what it is, but "He is" nevertheless. "Hari Naam" is the Primal Cause-less Cause of the entire Creation.

The Vedic Scriptures speak of "Hari Naam" but have not been able to say adequately what it is.

He says, "RamNam" is the kernel and the Essence and at once both the material and efficient cause of the countless universes in which this earth is but a speck.

He says, history is replete with examples of the countless who crossed the ocean of repeated sufferings once and for all riding the boat of "Hari Naam".

And therefore Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, we will hold "Hari Naam" constantly in our tongue of thought , for it alone roasts the seeds of ignorance and takes One on his journey within."

The constant meditation of 'RamNam' means constant companionship with the Named. His glory shines within him who cleanses the mirror of his mind with the sweet remembrance of His Name.

He says, the practice of 'RamNam' is the noblest of all virtues and it's merit far excels that achieved by doing any other ritualistic worship.

He says, only he who rides the boat of 'RamNam' transcends the sea of sufferings once and for all.

He says, except the Wise who have tasted this sweet elixir, no one knows that 'RamNam', the secret of immortality lies within his folds of mind."

He says, there is no greater contemplation than doing 'Hari Katha', for it truly roasts the seeds of ignorance thereby imparting the Supreme Bliss of unparalleled kind.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, waste not a moment without chanting 'Hari Naam', for it is our absolute and unconditional faith in Him that makes His Name Worship of GOD to do the miracles."

" Among the several kinds of living beings, it is the human being who is best equipped to progress spiritually and be liberated from the excruciating trauma of being born again and again. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj emphasizes the privilege of human birth for which man must express his gratitude to his Creator for this rare favour.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, attainment of human birth is as difficult as finding  a needle in the haystack. On completion of life as a human being, to attain the human birth yet again is as difficult as it is for the burnt parts - leaves and branches - of tree to regain the original mode of the tree. If somehow the human birth is attained again, if true faith is not acquired, human birth becomes useless, like the face without vision. And even after attaining this rare true faith if One is immersed in worldly pleasures then it is like burning sandalwood paste for the sake of ash.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the rare human birth is very ephemeral and very uncertain. It is full of inherent adversity, but nevertheless an invaluable opportunity. Only in this rare human birth One can strive to become free from the bondage of repeated sufferings and it is a great fortune if One understands its unparalleled importance at the right time when he can do something constructively in the direction of ultimate goal, the Liberation "

It is the Greatness of His Name that makes a wisdomless man like me phrase his glory, while the most authentic, ancient religious text Shruti", or That Which Is Heard" and passed on to generations since time immemorial, also couldn't express GOD to perfection saying " He is neither this not that but is".They could only say, "from it all words fall back and also mind cannot reach it."

He says, One who wastes not a moment without reciting the Holy "RamNam" realises GOD no matter whether he is proficient or not in the ritualistic worship.

In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the person who piles up counterfeit Godliness does the greatest damage to his soul, for though he deceives others while he lives, deceives himself when he dies. What good will it do to a man when he is in hell, that others think he is in heaven ?

He says, all things are rooted in GOD, but the wholeness of GOD cannot be comprehended solely by any man, And therefore it will do no good to call someone Godly, while every being is but a divinity in disguise.

Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, His Creation comes into being through four forms of births,

1) Andaj or form of birth from egg, for example birds, fish, snakes

2) Jaraj or form of birth from the womb for example mammals

3) Utbhuj or form of birth from earth, soil or rocks, for example vegetable kingdom

4) Swedaj or form of birth which is from bodily secretions such as sweat, for example microbes, bacteria.

And therefore  there is no place devoid of GOD, for He is here, there, and everywhere, within this, that, and everything. So say the Wise since time immemorial that the All encompassing GOD Consciousness differentiates not, but we do because of our ignorance."

Come at once and meet me O, My Lord as I am unable to bear this pain of separation any longer, for as the lotus dies without water, as the night is blind without the moon, so is my heart without You.

He says, seeking the face of GOD in everything, everyone, all the time, and His hand in every happening is no less than GOD Realisation, for what we sow in the soil of contemplation, we reap in the harvest of our action."

"Even though the Scriptures repeatedly remind us that everything is but One Divine Consciousness, we still live holding dear "I am the body" idea. This along with ignorance of One's True Nature is the cause of worldly sorrows. The deluded mind is the creator of subject-object relationship. It is the cause of duality. It is the deluded mind to whom happiness and sufferings exist. Every material joy is a suffering in disguise. So long as we take refuge in the worldly mind we suffer. The moment One realises his True Self, the suffering ends. The Spiritual Wisdom attained by reciting Holy Ram Nam only can remove the poisonous fangs of mind serpent so that serpent still remaining serpent, does not pose any danger to Snake Charmer.
It is said that, "All things are only a projection of a level of Conscious Awareness and are never ' Personal '."
The very 'isness', or 'beingness' or 'amness' of all life is radiant with the ineffable love of Consciousness and existence. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about taking a leap of faith into Nonduality through incessant recital of Holy Ram Nam.
He says, the body is not who we truly are. Existence is infinitely beyond form, because all form will pass, but life itself is Eternal and Formless. The Self awaits within every moment to be noticed and realised, it is only the ego's resistance that keeps ecstasy from being actualized.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the mark of the genuine seeker of the Truth is One who possesses the conviction and strength to pursue the surrender of attachments of ego  in order to discover the full Liberation of the Immortal Self. Not by words, not by rituals, not by chanting mantras, but only by transcending beyond "I am the body" idea, One can seek the God Consciousness.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says,  no one can stop the waves of worldly sufferings but One can surely learn to surf these inevitable waves only by practicing the Name Worship of Holy Ram Nam,  because rather than escaping our fears, stresses and sufferings, sitting nonjudgementally as a silent observer is a beautiful way to paddle through, slowly but steadily on the journey of Self Realisation. " सोहं " is breathing process, so it is the basis of our life. The sound which springs from the confluence of our inhalation and exhalation in each and every breath reminds us of the non duality of the Supreme Consciousness, " We are not different from God ". Thus, the non dual awareness of "I am the Universal Self " is intricately connected with our breathing. Every human performs the "सोहं" in each cycle of breathing. One who does not realise this is a blind man because he lives in the darkness of worldly illusions and he will remain forever in the grip of unending cycles of death and rebirths.
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the paramount importance of worship of God in Form "सगुण ". He says, except for the Self Realised Soul, it is difficult or almost impossible for our intellect to grasp and understand the Eternal, all conscious and Omnipresent Divine energy expressing through "सोहं" sound. It is much easier for us to have a Divine Incarnation as a figurehead, towards whom we are able to direct our feelings. In सगुण or Form aspect, God appears in a human form making it easier for us to come closer. Incomprehensible Supreme Divine is present everywhere and meditation on sound of Holy Ram Nam is the way to realise him.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the Eternal Divine cannot be found in Scriptures or in the temples. Penance, Pilgrimage, breath control takes One nowhere near Him. One can seek Him only in the Holy Ram Nam.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, man, who in his ignorance has lost touch with his own Self can, by incessant recital of Holy Ram Nam, annihilate his separate, illusory and perishable identity and get absorbed in the Eternal Supreme Consciousness, to be on his way to GOD Realisation.."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj in a humble entreaty to the Wise aspires not to be buried in the oblivion of their memory as well as of GOD.

He says, take me in Your shadow of Grace, for Your Feet are the only refuge for me in the abyss of repeated sufferings."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the percussion sound of clash cymbals and clapping while chanting GOD Name Vitthal aloud makes all hurdles cower. And therefore he says, do the Name Worship of GOD Vitthal as much as possible, and let "Vitthal" not be merely a word spoken but the one that is consciously heard as well."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, there is one thing that GOD says to every believer regardless of their circumstances, "Trust Me", for he who meditates His Name fondly and unconditionally Realises Him.

He says, Greatest is His Name, for the One who wastes not a moment without the Name Worship of GOD becomes ageless and revered like a pilgrimage.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, death does not  haunt the humble whose intelligence overwhems not his faith in GOD."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj wants to jolt out man from the reverie of his ignorance that there is ample time for him to do things when in reality he knows not when death will knock on his door. He wants to know what made man assume his worldly existence as certainty when in truth the only certainty is that everything is uncertain.

Wake up O' Man from the slumber of ignorance while you breath, for the only way to break the vicious cycle of repeated sufferings is absolute surrender to GOD, the quintessence of true devotion."

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about how rare it is to know a Spiritually Wise who is a living embodiment of Godliness, for he is the beacon of light to all who tread to walk the Spiritual Path. He says, just as everything has beauty, not everyone sees it, the Spiritually Wise sees GOD while majority remain engrossed in worshipping "I-ness" than GOD.
Illustrating this rarity he says, just like Kalpataru, a Wish Fulfilling Divine tree or Kamdhenu, the Divine Cow which bestows all needs are unique, it is a thing of  rarity to know of a Truly Spiritually Wise who initiates masses on their journey of Self Realisation without expecting anything in return.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, he who sees infinite in all things sees GOD and blessed are those who see this glory unfolding through his eyes."
