"Men do not become Saints and sinners merely by words, but they carry deeds with them wherever they go."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talkes about futility of mere appearance, which doesn't make a man what he pretends to be, for True Wisdom comes only from experience.
He says, One can masquerade as a Self Realised Soul, but all facades fall sometime, the mask comes off and the real heart is seen. And hence he implores, not to be lured by appearances which can be deceptive.
Illustrating with beautiful analogies Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the futility of taking things at their face value. He says, just like the earthiness of man masquerading as GOD is unmistakable, nothing changes until One Realises the true purpose of his rare human birth, the Liberation.
He says, even if One adores a Datura tree to be synonymous to gold, no gold is realised with the mere assumption.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, a stone is worshipped as GOD when One sees GOD in it, for unless One rears an unshakable faith that "Yes, GOD Exists", a stone will remain as a mere pretension.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, One cannot seek GOD, the only Truth through the illusion of "I -ness", for the journey of Self Realisation is only for those who dare to be true to themselves."
