It is said that
" Behind all multiplicity of this manifold universe, the One Supreme Reality persists in its splendour. "
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about this One Supreme Essence that runs in and through all as the Changeless in Changing Phenomenon. He says,
This All Pervading Eternal Essence is Unmanifest or Formless (निर्गुण) just like fire indwells wood.
The image of Sun reflects in multitude of pots filled with water. The reflections are many, but each of them reflect the same Sun. Just like Sun remains untouched even after the pots are destroyed, so is the Eternal Consciousness. All forms emerge out of it, remain sustained by it and ultimately merge back into this Timeless Supreme Reality.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that we live in the universe of purpose and not one of Caprice.(whim or impulse). It's an orderly universe and not an accidental one. It's movements are measured, it's events are plotted and its creatures develop towards a well defined goal. Illustrating this with a beautiful analogy Sant Tukaram Maharaj says,
No matter what, One cannot produce milk by mere grinding the grass. However a cow grazing the grass converts it's food into milk for its young. Similarly there is an invisible mechanism within the universe directed by Divine Order. Everything around us and every event that happens to us is an expression of God's Will.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says,
Be it a creature or plant, it seeks expression for those attributes of which it's form is both symbol and meaning. In other words a banana tree bears only bananas and nothing else. He says,
Self Realisation is a very slow process and One needs to wait patiently for the metal to be ready for makers hands. This is just like untimely plucking a banana before it is ripened naturally, where all the effort of painstakingly nurturing it over a period of time goes in vain.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that a reflection in the mirror creates a sense of duality, when in reality Self is distinctly Homogeneous Oneness. Similarly the Limited Body Consciousness compels One to see the Formless Divine manifest as having a Finite Form.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that the " Cause "  is no different than its " Effect ". Therefore to be truly happy, we must seek the Divine Essence within. If we can do that, the Eternal Happiness will simultaneously reflect itself in us, because we are nothing but His True Image. "
