Learning a trade equips One with insights which are so crucial to judge the situation or object in focus. For the rest to do so is impossible as well as worthless. It is the awareness that shines like a sun and hence awards the ability to bring forth the absolute truth and it's true worth.
In this composition Sant Tukaram.Maharaj talks about this thought.
The alluring aroma of Musk emanating from the male Musk Deer cannot go unheeded. But the Musk Deer is entirely unaware of its fragrance. However One who is aware of its spellbinding effect won't hesitate spending money to get hold of it.
Illustrating with beautiful analogies Sant Tukaram Maharaj says ,
Chakor, a legendary bird in Hindu mythology thrives only on the moon light for its food. Moon light is nothing but Amrit or Nectar of Immortality for Chakor. It is the outlook of Chakor to moon light that makes it unique in his life. However Moon which emanates light is entirely unaware of it.
A large black bee is enticed by aroma of lotus flower. But the Lotus itself in entirely unaware of it and hence unconscious of it.
A Gemologist knows the worth of a precious stone. However it is but useless if the blind man gets hold of it. Ultimately it is the awareness inculcated from within that makes the difference.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that study of Vedic Scriptures is worth only when One inculcates humbleness from within. The Vedic Scriptures are all about the Supreme Essence, which One can seek only by being humble or by awakening the Self. "
