घालिती पव्हया I

वाटे अनाथांची दया II

तैसे का हो नये करूं I

पांडुरंगा मज तारुं II

रोगियासी काढा I

देऊनि वारिताती पीडा II

बुडत्यासाठी उडी I

घालिताती काय जोडी II

झाडिताती कांटे I

पुढे मागिलांचे वाटे II

तुका म्हणे भार I

घेती भागल्यांचा फार II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, O'Lord Panduranga, why don't you make the path I am following for detachment from the material world hindrance-less  just like those kind souls who make water available to the thirsty travellers or like a doctor who relieves the patient from his suffering or those who do not hesitate to put their life at peril for saving the drowning man or like those who sweep off the thorns on the path so that those following them can walk with comfort or like those who unburden the One who is worn out of walking."
