जन तरी देखे गुंतले प्रपंचे I

स्मरण तें त्याचे त्यांसी नाही II

म्हणउनि मागे परतले मन I

घालणीचे रान देखोनिया II

इंद्रियांचा गाजे गोंधळ ये ठायी I

फोडीतसे डोई अहंकार II

तुका म्हणे देवा वासनेच्या आटे I

केली तळपटे बहुतांची II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the more I see the world entire engrossed in the labyrinth of 'Me and Mine', the more I long for Lord Hari.

He says, amidst the cacophony of senses, the false ego sense overwhelms the truth or in other words who is right gets predominance over what is right.

He says, attachment to worldly possessions is the greatest of perils, for it drags One away from the true purpose of his rare human birth, GOD Realisation."
