झालों आता दास I

माझे तोडोनिया पाश II

ठाव द्यावा पायापाशी I

मी तो पातकांची राशी II

सकलही गोवा I

माझा उगवूनी देवा II

तुका म्हणे भय I

करा जवळी ते नये II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, O'GOD, sever all the ties that bound me to the worldly attachments, for I have surrendered my will to Yours.

He says, I need You O'GOD, for vile and full of sin I am. I beseech You to enlighten me about the true purpose of this rare human birth, else I will become slave of senses and miss the opportunity of Your Realisation.

Grace me O'GOD, he says, the freedom from the vicious labyrinth of worldly attachments so that there will be no more obligation to be born again and again."
