जंव सुंदर वनिता दृष्टी देखिली नाही II
तोंवरी तोंवरी शूरत्वाच्या गोष्टी I
जंव परमाईचा पुत्र दृष्टी पडला नाही II
तोंवरी तोंवरी माळामुद्रांची भूषणे I
जंव तुक्याचे दर्शन झाले नाही II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, a lie survives only till it faces the Truth. In other words One can pretend spirituality only till he comes face to face with the True Knower.
Illustrating this with beautiful analogies he says, a long doleful cry of a fox boasting of its prowess holds only till an intimidating roar of a tiger is heard.
He says, the ocean thunders with the pounding surf only till it meets the Great Sage Agasti who drank the entire ocean with his austerity and mystical powers.
He says, a big talk of Renunciation falters as soon as One sees a beautiful woman or bragging of bravery survives only till One comes across a battle worn warrior.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, One may wear garlands and put saffron marks, but when he comes face to face with a Truly Realised Soul, the Truth revelas itself."
