"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, unfortunate is the One who seeks GOD at the pilgrimages, when the Self Quest is nothing but a journey within.
He says, making pilgrimages inflate One's false ego sense, thus taking him away from the very purpose for which he visits the pilgrimages, the GOD Realisation.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, except the journey within, all the ritualistic endeavors need support from others in some way or other. Wanting just leads to more wanting, and there is no end to desire.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the veritable touchstone of One's progress on the voyage of Self Discovery is his Desirelessness, for when his subtle sense of discrimination illuminates the path, all dark corners of desires vanish."
