As the famous saying goes,"The Real is near, you do not have to seek it. A man who seeks the Truth will never find it. Truth is in what is ..... and that is the beauty of it. But the moment you conceive it, the moment you seek it, you begin to struggle, and a man who struggles cannot understand. That is why we have to be Still, Observant and Passively Aware."
Our True Self is a state of Pure Consciousness, the state of Being which is veiled in us and denied to us by the hypnotic spell of Mistress of Illusion Maya. The True Purpose of our existence is to realise that Consciousness and ultimately to become One with it. In contrast to the Knowledge of our True Self, which is Self Illuminated and exists by itself, the knowledge that arises from Duality is illuminated by mind and intelligence and exists only in relation to things and otherness. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the distinction between Wisdom of our True Self and worldly knowledge. He says, One must give a conscious thought to realise who we are, why we are here and where we need to go.
Illustrating with beautiful analogy Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like closing eyes in broad daylight, what One sees is only darkness, so is the One who seeks Wisdom of his True Self outside, when all One needs to do is look within.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, in Oneself lies the whole world. All depends on how to look and learn. The door is there, so is the key. Nobody can give you either key or direct you to the door to be opened, except yourself. "
