त्यागिल्याचे ध्यान राहिले अंतरी I

"As the famous saying goes " Renunciation (त्याग) which is natural does not herald it's coming by the blowing of trumpets. It comes in imperceptibly without anyone noticing it. "
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about Renunciation which is not about pushing something away. It is about letting go. It is a commitment to let go of things that create suffering. He says, those who conquer their minds are beings of Renunciation and Detachment. Men are great not by what they acquire, but what they renounce.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the person who does not boast of the duties he performs, whose mind is always free from attachment and who lives life with no regrets because he understands that everything happens for a reason attains the supreme perfection of freedom through Renunciation.
Renunciation is a journey of transformation from within and hence futility of its pompous display does not remain hidden from God, the indweller of heart.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, if One regrets of things he has renounced then it is mockery of all that he does in his quest of Self.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, until we make a conscious effort to practise Self Enquiry, we will not be able to attain knowledge of our True Self and will remain in muddled state of mind and tentative about who or what we really are."
