" It is said that," All that glitters is not gold. "
In this composition Sant Tukaram  Maharaj says, beauty, appearances and all its glamour are not what defines someone or something. He says,
In the world of precious metals, silver holds intrinsically more value than copper and hence it is obvious that copper coins though freely circulated across countries, are still considered inferior to more valuable silver coins. Similarly the Spiritually Wise with their sense of discrimination know the real worth of Trueness of their Self within as against to mere outward appearances which may be deceptive.
Illustrating with beautiful analogy Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, though the pebbles in the river bed shine like diamonds, the gem stone expert gives least heed to them knowing their worthlessness.
In another analogy he says, the cheapness of pearls artificially made of glass is so obvious that they are utterly valueless to their expert.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that  the journey of Self Realisation is all about identifying the true purpose of this rarest of rare human birth by realizing the Infinite Silence within you, because you are that which sees all this in the Play of Consciousness. The Silent Witness.
He says, be still and know that YOU are that. "
