" It is said that God is like sugar that is scattered in sand. An elephant can't pick out the sweet grains. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that One must become like an ant and savour the nectar. An elephant is a metaphor for arrogance and an ant for humility. Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that desires of worldly attachments engulf all like a snake. He implores his mind to take the shelter of God's name, as it's contemplation dispels bad thoughts and leads to the state of contentment.
Just like a hungry dog yearns for food in its jaws and will not let it snatched away or a lascivious will go to any extent to fulfill his lust, so is the longing with which Sant Tukaram Maharaj  seeks the devotion of the Supreme Divine.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that God can be attained only through devoted remembrance of Him. Only through the innocence of a child does One meet the Almighty. "
