खड़ा रवाळी साखर I

गोडी ठायीं निवडिता II
तुम्ही आम्ही पांडुरंगा I

पायी हाती नाकी शिरी I
हेम राहे अलंकारी I
मुसे आल्यावरी I

निजलिया लाभ हानी I
तोच खरी ते स्वप्नी I
तुका म्हणे दोन्ही I
निवारली जागतां II
The concept of Universalism holds that each human being possesses certain inalienable traits regardless of nationality, religion or political views, gender or age. In the the highest symbolic level, Universalism sees unity in the vast diversity of traditions in time space. It is the quality ascribed to an entity whose existence is consistent throughout the universe. As in all species, there is variation among individual human beings. These are particulars. But common thread to all of them is humanity, just like the Oneness Of Supreme Consciousness which is devoid of any plurality. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about Universalism as a Manifestation of Oneness of Supreme Consciousness. Illustrating with beautiful analogies he says,
Looking in the mirror One sees himself as a separate entity. However Oneness of the viewer remains intact. In the similar way sugar in different forms has a universal commonness of its divine sweetness. This commonness is the One and Only One Supreme Consciousness which is Eternal.
In another beautiful analogy Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that gold is gold, be it in any form. Melting down various forms of jewellery, what remains is a pure gold, the common thread of them all. It's Oneness is a thread of commonness just like that of Supreme Consciousness which manifests in different forms preserving it's eternal Oneness forever.
The veil of ignorance tempts One to assume that he is body, but awakening from within reveals that there is but only one Supreme Essence which is all encompassing the universe.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that this visual world around us is infested by Duality, but the common thread that holds it together is the Nonduality of Supreme Consciousness which is eternal and all pervasive."
