It is said that
" Raise your words not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder. "
The Word is the Name Of Supreme Lord Shri Ram,
It is a way to the heart of hearts, to the utmost direct intense experience of One's sacred identity. Hearts become tranquil through the incessant recital of Holy Ram Nam.
One needs to awaken the heart. It is a journey within to seek the Supreme Self. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj exemplifies with beautiful analogies that what matters most is the incessant recital of Holy Ram Nam irrespective of any barriers ,social or personal. He says ,
A Musk Deer, has much bland appearance but hardly One can know that behind this facade lies the Divine Fragrance of Musk which makes it priceless. The fragrance of what lies within is all pervading and Eternal like that of the Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram which unfolds the path of Self Realisation silently but firmly.
Sandalwood tree as such is not attractive, but the blIssful fragrance it holds in its belly makes it a tree most desired by all.
The mythological Philosopher's Stone is believed to transmute iron into Gold. Despite being nondescript in appearance, it's inherent alchemy makes it invaluable.
A sword will fetch a good price only by its inherent strength. But it will become worthless if it is melted down.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that more than the appearance, it is the the inherent essence emanating from within that is of paramount importance. Blessed is the One reciting Holy Ram Nam, as it is nothing but the Supreme Essence, eternal and all pervading. "
