It is said that when mind identifies itself with the object of meditation then the thinker and thought become One. Inculcated from within, the Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Krishna helps to direct our consciousness to Him. The mind is like a mighty river which cannot be dammed for long or be brought to standstill. However steering it in the direction of the Supreme Lord opens the gateway to Self Realisation. The mind in a way becomes an instrument to merge with the Supreme Self.
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj elucidates this thought beautifully. He says ,
Seeking Supreme Consciosness, the Divine Lord Krishna can be sought in many ways. Be it meditating Him by reciting His name incessantly or by doing everything with He being part of it. Sant Tukaram Maharaj says that the Name Worship of Divine Lord Krishna must become a way of life. While performing daily chores or even when One is idle , the Name Worship of Divine Lord Krishna must not cease. The name Worship can be performed by anyone irrespective of the gender or cast of the seeker. The utmost urge from within to seek Him is of paramount importance.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj has illustrated this with a beautiful analogy. He says that Sun and it's glow seem to be two separate entities but their Oneness is unmistakable. In the similar way the seeker transcending beyond the realm of material world becomes One with the Supreme Lord Krishna and the illusion of duality between him and the Supreme Lord is slowly unveiled. "
