उजळीतां उजळे दीपकाची वाती I
स्वयंभ ते ज्योती दिव्य अंगी II
एकी महाकष्टे मिळविले धन I
एकासी जतन दैवयोगे II
परिमळे केले चंदनाचे चिन्ह I
निवडतो भिन्न गाढव तो II
तुका म्हणे जया अंगी नाम ठसा I
तो तरे सहसा वंद्य होय II
"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the difference between 'Doing the Name Worship of GOD' and 'The Name Worship of GOD becoming a Spontaneous State of Being.'
Illustrating with beautiful analogies he says, the flame of a wick flares only when it is lighted, but the light is intrinsic in a Diamond.
It is like One has earned riches through hardwork while someone is born in a wealthy household.
He says, only an unwise will call a Sandalwood disinct from its Fragrance, for they are inseparable.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like Light is One with a Diamond and Fragrance is One with the Sandalwood, adored is he who has become One with the Name Worship of GOD, which emanates from him incessantly from deep within."
