सोडविना राजा देशींचा चौधरी I

तुका म्हणे तुला सोडविना कोणी I

"Life is not lost dying, but it is lost minute by minute, day by dragging day, in all the countless uncaring ways like not understanding the real purpose of this rare human birth, the Liberation. In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj has elucidated a dialogue with his mind about not getting trapped by Maya, the Cosmic Illusion which compels us to accept that our perishable body has a lasting value when it is not true. He says, in the cacophony of worldly living, when One is caught unawares by death, the greatest predator, none can save him from the imminent end. All his dear Ones and even a King cannot do anything when death knocks on the door.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the universe and it's experience is born from the body and perish with the body. The body comes and goes, but the soul is Eternal. The death torments the One who identifies himself with "I am the body" idea. He says, clinging to the Name Worship of GOD is the only way out, for faith is as much a gift of GOD as is the saviour upon whom that faith relies."
