शिकलो ते बोल I

बोले तैसी नाही ओल II

आतां देवा संदेह नाही I

वायां गेलो यासी कांही II

एकांताचा वास I

नाही संकल्पाचा नाश II

बुद्धी नाही स्थिर I

तुका म्हणे शब्दा धीर II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, I may speak what I have learnt but deep within me nothing as such has changed.

O 'Lord he says, there is no doubt that this rare human birth which is an opportunity to transcend duality and become One with the Homogeneous Oneness has gone to waste.

He says, equanimous I am not, nor my words carry any resoluteness."
