काय वृंदावन माखिले गुळे I

काय जिरे काळे उपचारिले II

तैसी अधमाची जातीच अधम I

उपदेश श्रम करावा तो II

न कळे विंचासी कुरवाळीले अंग I

आपले ते रंग दावितसे II

तुका म्हणे न ये पाकासी दगड I

शुकरासी गोड जैसी विष्ठा II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, lessons of morality to the evil minded falls on deaf ears just like no jaggery can remove bitterness of bitter gourd or nothing makes the cumin seeds lose their bitterness.

He says, the evilness to the core is just like scorpion's sting knows no caress or no cooking softens a stone.

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, meanness is pleasing to the wicked just like feaces is no less than a feast to the pig."
