स्त्रिया पुत्र कलत्र हे तंव मायावंत I

शेवटींचा अंत न पवे कोणी II

यमाचिये हाती बांधोनिया देती I

भूषणेही घेती काढोनिया II

ऐसीयां चोरांचा कैसा हा विश्वास I

धरिली तुझी कास तुका म्हणे II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, no matter how strong the emotional bonding may be, no man or woman can accompany their spouse on the funeral pyre where in the end One is all alone.

He says, man marries a woman or woman to man not as a social cause but solely with the intention of seeking their individual happiness.

He gives analogy of a thief to these worldly relations, for their intentional endeavor in the pursuit of individual happiness is just like a thief whose actions are driven by an ulterior motive. 

Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, You are my only hope O Lord, from getting drowned in the abyss of this ignorance."
