II श्रीराम जय राम जय जय राम II

मन माझे चपळ न राहे निश्चळ I

घडी एकी पळ स्थिर नाही II

आतां तू उदास नव्हे नारायण I

धांवे मज दीना गांजियेले II

धाव घाली पुढे इंद्रियांचे ओढी I

केले तडातोडी चित्त माझे II

तुका म्हणे माझा न चले सायास I

राहिलो मी आस धरूनि तुझी II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, nothing is fixed or settled, everything is a constant movement and evolution and our mind is no exception, for the mind by its nature is in a constant state of flux. No thought, no feeling, no sensation lasts for more than an instant before it is transformed into the next thought, next sensation. And therefore he calls upon GOD to take hold of the reins of his mind horse galloping wildly.

He says, no matter how much I try, i am unable to resist the temptation of mind to chase the sense pleasures, and therefore I look upon You O'GOD as my last resort, for  Your Grace never disappoints those who look upon You as their only hope."
