कार्यचि कारण I

तृष्णा पावविते सीण II

काय करुनियां ऐसा संग I

सोसेंची तूं पांडुरंग II

रुपी नाही गोडी I

हांवे हांवे ऊर फोडी II

तुका म्हणे पडे भरी I

ऐशा वरदळाचे थोरी II

In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, man is a bundle of desires. His life is like a play and this play revolves around one theme- Want and Desires, for desires are like a bottomless pit. None give everlasting happiness.

And therefore he says, we must resort to the Name Worship of GOD Panduranga, for only His desire, is truly the dead - end to the endless desires of more and more and more, the cache of True Happiness."
