आळस पाडी विषयकामी I
शक्ती देई तुझ्या नामी II
हेंचि विनवणी I
विनाविली धरा मनी II
आणिक वचना मुकी वाणी I
तुमच्या गर्जो द्यावी गुणी II
तुका म्हणे पाय डोळां I
पाहे एरवी आंधळा II

"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, O'GOD, let my life force be spent on Your Name Worship than letting it waste on frivolous material pursuits.
He says, let speechless I become to utter anything but Your Name, for let only Your Name may linger in my tongue of thought ceaselessly.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says,O'GOD, let me become blind to see anything but Your Lotus Feet, for just like the Lotus Flower remains unsmeared in the water and yet keeps an unwavering gaze towards the sun, he wants to remain among all desires, yet remaining unaffected by them, attuned to the Name Worship of GOD all the time, living in the world but not of the world."
