आवडे सकळां मिष्टान्न I
रोग्या विषा ते समान II
काय तया एकासाठी I
कामे केली अवघी खोटी II
दर्पण न लगे तया एका I
ठाव नाही ज्याच्या नाका II
तुका म्हणे तैशा खळा I
उपदेशाचा कांटाळा II

"It is said that to the mean eye all things are trivial, as certainly as to the jaundiced they are yellow.
Elucidating this thought Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, it is like the sweet tastes bitter to the diseased or an unsightly repels One to look in the mirror.
He says, the architect of his own decay is the One for whom ignorance is bliss."
