"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj elucidates his journey of Self Quest in the words of a married woman who seeks carnal desire out of her wedlock.
He says, here 'married' suggests worldly attachments, "out of wedlock' suggests abandonment of pursuit of material comforts. In other words the road to True Happiness unfolds only when One crosses the threshold of worldly attachments through Renunciation.
He says, a woman becomes worriless when she takes medication to prevent pregnancy. Here "medication" suggests Wisdom of Self Realisation and "prevent pregnancy" suggests halting the endless cycle of deaths and rebirths. In other words, the repeated sufferings cease when Wisdom of Self Realisation dawns on the Rare Soul who dares to transcend the "I am the body" idea."
