"It is said that "Nothing lasts forever. Forever is a lie. All we have is what's between Hello and Goodbye."
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, though it is the Eternal Truth that all matter is bound to degenerate and perish in the end, we blinded by veil of ignorance of "I am the body" idea do not feel it relevant to us. He says, it's not that we are unaware of the fact that the body to which we identify as ourselves will drop down dead one day. We know it but we ignore it assuming that it is all for someone else not us.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj has exemplified it through a fable, narrating a dialogue between Tiger and Fox. Conversing with Fox, the hungry Tiger asks him to become his prey as there is no escape from the inevitable death. Tiger says, if you allow me to eat you then it will be a great benevolence on your part to feed the hungry soul like me and your kindness will surely not go unnoticed by GOD. The Cunning Fox feeling elated by what Tiger says, replies that what's true for me is Eternal Truth for you as well.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, we are all in the same boat in the stormy sea of life. He says, this rare human birth is one of the precious fleeting gifts where everything can change in a heartbeat. The body to which we call as "I" dwindles fast with every passing moment. Realising this wholeheartedly is nothing but to dare to dream, for courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality, the Self Realisation."
