"In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like blessings pronounced without love are worthless so is the devotion to GOD without contemplation. He says, colostrum is milk fluid produced by cow after giving birth to her newborn, before the true milk appears. Though both are white in colour, the subtle taste of colostrum stands nowhere compared to genuine sweetness of milk.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, just like all that glitters is not gold, not everything that looks precious or true turns out to be so. It is the experience that gives the thing its real worth and not merely its looks.
Illustrating with beautiful analogy he says, every firefly has its night, but it never has its day.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the essence of devotion is contemplation of GOD. He says, we know Him by love and when we experience Divine love, we know who and what He is."
