"गुढी पाडवा", commemorates the coronation of Supreme Lord Shri Ram post His return to Ayodhya after completing 14 years of exile. It symbolizes Divine Lord Shri Ram's victory over Demon King Ravan and happiness and celebrations that followed.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, when Divine Lord Shri Ram returned to Ayodhya, his mother Kausalya who along with others awaited His return with a Reason-less and Intense Longing, remaining absorbed in His name, ultimately to become One with Him
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the paramount importance of intense yearning for God Reallisation, for longing for Him brings One to perfection through Discrimination and Inward Illumination, raising One's intellect to the heights of contemplation.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, the incessant recital of Holy Ram Nam unfolds the path to Self Realisation, slowly but steadily. Be the natives of Ayodhya or the monkeys who helped Supreme Lord Shri Ram in his search of his beloved wife Seeta, it was their earnest yearning to the Divine Lord with expectations less devotion that made them merge in Him, to become One with Him. The demon king Ravan and his army, though for different reason, were obsessed by Supreme Lord Shri Ram. Despite this they were rewarded with His Blessings and were blessed by Oneness with Him.
Summing up Sant Tukaram Maharaj says, he bows with reverence to those whose mind remains preoccupied by Holy Ram Nam, for it is the blessing that confers the reward, of being in the world but not of the world. "
