The Self Realised Soul has his consciousness attuned to the Divine Consciousness within. Having attained everlasting Spiritual Perfection, he remains undisturbed even amidst the filth or impurities of the material world, the true illusion. Being the indweller of transcendence, his wisdom is guided by Pure Consciousness and hence he is beyond the realm of all material entanglements. Becoming One with Supreme Consciousness, he has been liberated from the unending cycle of deaths and rebirths.
In this composition Sant Tukaram Maharaj talks about the state of Enlightenment of a Self realised Soul. Illustrating with beautiful analogy he says, the Enlightened Being  is like a broken bucket on the wheel used to draw water from the well. Being broken, the bucket no more participates in the process of drawing water. Here the wheel resembles the life cycle. The filling and emptying of the bucket resembles the unending cycles of rebirth and deaths. The broken bucket which cannot be refilled again is the Liberated Soul, the Enlightened Being.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj says just like a burning fire makes no sense to a corpse, the Enlightened being being transcended beyond the realm of sense gratification is entirely indifferent and detached to the world around. "
